I really enjoyed this book. This was definitely a first for me as far as the storyline goes. Never really read about contractors competitors falling in love. It has a very Chip & Joanna - Fixerupper-esque feel but that really just ups the fun and gives way to a good story. It only makes it that much better that they are also a second chance romance.

Yet i enjoyed the story, the performance. i great story. The ending to me was quickly wrapped up. considering the screw up Cal made. Jill should have made him work another chapter longed. 😄

Jill and Cal were high school sweethearts. They had a quickie married but the marriage only lasted one day. Jill had wanted to go to Hollywood to become an actress, but Cal had too many family responsibilities to leave home so he got a quickie divorce. Jill had no luck with acting and returned home to join with her two foster sisters to make She Shed Retreats as Blue Bonnet Builders. She has not spoken to Cal for ten years. Cal owns We Nail It Builders, so the two companies are in competition. A reality show comes to town to get the two companies into a competition to each remodel a house. The history of their one day marriage will be included. Totally enjoyed the head bumping, ghost music playing, unusual minor characters, one upmanship and the two slightly warming to each other. Really good.

Perfect srory, all wrongs were righted. It had a very happy ending. Great characters, liked your reader, glad to listen to audio books.
