Great

Great story and wonderful narration. It's good to hear a book that has people with flaws.

Missed it's potential😕

Good book but could have been so much better. It lacked the necessary input. Very short.

Clan Grant could be the next Outlander series!

Breena and Quades story is exciting. It has suspense, sexual tension, anger and laughter.

Breena is kidnapped because her reputation as a healer has spread around the highlands and Quade needs her healing skills and his brother, Logan doesn't think he has time to take the long way around by getting her brother's permission to take her.
Join their travels and see why the Clan Grant series is so awesome! Antony Ferguson has the most yummy Scottish accent and he is a wonderful narrator.

Writing and Narrator ruined it for me

I love these Highland romance novels because they relax me. If they’re descriptive/well written and narrated I can really lose myself in them. So, a dreadful narrator and mediocre writing can ruin the way I experience a novel.

There was a lack of depth in the writing that I just can’t put my finger on. There wasn’t one description of the castle or the grounds/the character’s surroundings. There was barely even a description of the characters themselves.

The narration was similarly lacking in emotion and depth. It was monotonous and brought to mind the way a grammar school child sounds when made to read out loud in front of a classroom.

I’m going to give this series one more chance and try to listen to the next book. If all is the same then it’s going right back to Audible.

Just ok...

I liked the story line. But it did get repetitive with the internal dialogue. And there were times that things said didn’t make sense- like Alex yelling for a marriage between Them and then saying they needed her home because they didn’t want to lose her healing skills. And the end was odd- as if the author suddenly realized that no one has been killed or kidnapped so added in a few chapters to have something happen. I’m not positive I will go on to the next in the series.

Grant Clan Rides Again...

This sequel to the first book the author offered about the Grant Clan is written with the assumption that one has read the previous before picking it up. Like its predecessor, the love between the family members presented is fairly obvious and the intimacy quite detailed. It was a little hard to envision some of the setting (the keep and its surroundings), as the descriptions seem hurried and the language, costume and traditions described are a bit lacking. This book was not as good as the first but still a decent read for a day’s entertainment.

Emotional Baggage anyone?

So far, in this series, either the H/h is mentally traumatized, and needs to be rebuilt. Sorry, seems to be the best way to describe how it goes throughout the novels. Handy the non-broken character has a psychology degree, and knows what to do.
This is sweet, but I didn't think the H is very alpha in nature, only sad and "broken." I wouldn't want him to lead a battle. She, on the other hand, is pretty strong. **INCOMING SPOILERS** I know the kids are important, but omg, they got really annoying, especially the little girl. I kept hoping she would just shut up, and leave the room. The typical unknown force which could separate them comes within the last hour? No real foreshadowing, and felt like it was added at the last moment bcs the author realized it had been forgotten.
I did adore Logan. He was adorable, savvy, and had quite the plan. I almost want to skip to his story. Off to book #3. I hope neither are mentally broken in it.
