Publisher's summary

Coworkers Nathan Crenshaw and Janice Livingston once had a passionate relationship that went up in flames and created a strained environment at their place of employment. Since then Janice has tried to move on. Unfortunately, they have to work together, and unfortunately, she’s still very attracted to Nathan.

Nathan can’t forget his connection with Janice — a connection he hasn’t experienced with any other woman. After an earth-shattering kiss rekindles their flame, will these two finally get it right — or will an outside force get in the way?

Narration was an issue

The storyline was good however the narration made it hard to listen to and wish you had used separate male and female

Narration

The narration of this was pretty bad. If it wasn’t for trying to finish the series, I wouldn’t have continued to listen. Out of the trilogy, book 2 Everlasting Desire by Stephanie Nicole Norris, was the best. It was the best storyline and it was the best narration with Wesleigh Siobhan.

Loved the Storyline-Hated the Narration

The narrator is the life -blood of a story. The narrator for this GOOD story drained all the life out of the story. I was not able to grasp how sexy the hero was because the narrator could not relay it. It was torture. I know this was a Contemporary African American Romance story with a side of suspense. Sadly, this story was told in one monotonous voice with no variation from male to female. I won’t even go into the characters sounding Black because it was non-existent. Narration is everything!

Couldn't Finish

The narration was unbearable. I'm so disappointed that the previous narrator wasn't used. I really tried.

Second chances...

Janice and Nathan, confront their emotions, recriminations and passion in this entertaining story. Second chance romance enriched with a smooth narration.

Something's Missing

Had to start and stop several times because of the narration. The first 2 were good.

Delaney Diamond wrote this?

The author really phoned it in with this one. The writing seemed amateur with its redundant sentences, and it didn't help that it was read by a narrator who really wasn't the right fit for this story. I enjoyed Nathan and his little brother, Abram's, small interactions more than Nathan and Janice's wishy washy journey to their HEA. Then you have this sloppy climax that made me mad enough to leave a review. It made no sense for a woman who is rational enough to decline Nathan's marriage proposal and leave him because he loves someone else, but then turns psycho and suddenly cares about his relationship with Janice. Diamond has done much better than this and reminds us so with the appearance of Tomas Molina from her book "The Wrong Man" and mentioning Ryan Stewart from "Blind Date".

Narrator voice

I couldn't get through the 2nd chapter. The voice sucked. Amateur narrator. It just seem off...I spent my money so I tried to force myself to listen but just couldn't...disappointed
