About this listen

What happened after the "happily ever after"?

You all know the story of your favorite fairy tale, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairy-tale ending? Well, we know. Not all "afters" end up happily. Sometimes, the real adventure starts much later....

With the dragons attacking and the kingdom falling apart, Azia must find out about her history to make changes to her future. But heading up the mountains to see the dragons is a downright insane idea.

Fortunately for Azia, she has never been one to let a spark of insanity stop her from doing anything. With a cast of characters including a witch, a seer, dwarves, and of course, dragons, Heiress of Embers is the second spellbinding installment of the Kingdom of Fairytales: Sleeping Beauty.

Following famous fairy-tale characters 18 years after their happily ever afters, the Kingdom of Fairytales offers an edge-of-the-seat thrill ride in an all new and sensational way to listen.

With lightning-fast listens you won’t be able to stop listening to, fantasy has never been so epic!

Gripping!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Just as amazing as the first book!!! The blooming romance, the forced engagement, meeting the king of the dragons and his cute baby girl, a tournament for love or for the throne....
With the queen once again under the sleeping curse the king is distraught. Princess Aziza (sp) is torn between doing as her father demands and getting what she wants. She does defy him a couple times but only to end up getting more questions then answers and huge trouble when she comes home. I am a little perplexed though, the fae character is intriguing. In most of my reading dealing with fae they never do anything without some sort of payment. Yet this fae character seems to be doing favors with no payment/agreement. Makes me wonder why he is there and what is he going to demand as recompense for his assistance in this perilous time.
Cant wait for the next book! If you like sleeping beauty and dragons this is a wonderful merriment of the two worlds.

The story continues!

This is the second book of four in the in the Season One of the Kingdom of Fairytales Sleeping Beauty Series, an intricate and original Sleeping Beauty's daughter story. You have to listen to this series in order. Azia's story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is captivating, and fast-paced. During Azia's quest, we learn a little more about her past. The story ends once again with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listen to Throne of Fury, the next book in the Series. Melody Muzljakovich did an entertaining read of the story.

Dragons, A Sleeping Queen and Wedding Plans

As her mother continues in her curse-induced sleep, Azia gets to know her suitors, searches for the witch she believes responsible for her mother's curse and meets the mountain dwelling "neighbors".
There's plenty going on in this second act of the saga and it's an interesting story, but by the end, very little has been resolved. In fact, things just seem to keep on getting more complicated with a big new reveal at the very end of the book.
If you like fairy tales, elves, dragons and "who should I pick" romance dilemmas and aren't in any hurry to get to the end of the tale, this is one you'll probably really love.
The narration is very well done.

Continuation of an enjoyable series

I enjoyed this second entry in the "what happens next" tale of Sleeping Beauty's family. More of the mystery of Azia's past is revealed, though it leads to more questions than answers for her, and it certainly ends on a bit of a cliffhanger in that respect. Interested to see where the author takes the story next. The narration continues to be fantastic. I received this as a free review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Great story

This is the second episode in the Sleeping Beauty retelling part of the Kingdom of Fairy Tales series, and we watch as Sleeping Beauty is sleeping once again and Azia is convinced that the reason her mother is cursed again is because of her. With all the unexpected twist and turns that happen, I feel that the story just gets better and better and the narrator does a great job

Captivating Series

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is Book 2 in the Kingdom of Fairytales: Sleeping Beauty. It is not a standalone book and you cannot read this series out of order or you will quickly be lost. Finally it ends on a cliffhanger.

It is a really enjoyable series - a wonderful MC in Azia, the daughter of Sleeping Beauty. Her mother has fallen under the sleeping curse again and the Kingdom is falling apart. It's up to Azia to try to help her beleaguered father with the help of dragons, dwarves, and a bit of magic. A captivating series and can't wait to see what Azia gets up to next.

The narrator, Melody Muzljakovich, is the narrator of the series and did a wonderful job.

An Alternate story from a classic tale

This is only my second story I will have review as a free audio book on Audible. I listen to ALOT of audiobooks. Started as a truck driver and now just have a long commute. I had not realized that this was the second book in the series when I received it. I am glad that there is another book before it. I often enjoy a different perspective on what were classic tales from my youth. Sleeping Beauties by Mr. King, or the Maleficent movies, or others of the like. I truly enjoy the other interpretations or views of things I thought only of one way. I felt that the narrator did a wonderful job of making me feel like I was listening to the main character. The inflections of other character was perfectly suited to the rest of the story telling. I will be purchasing the first book in this series, and am very hopeful there will be a continuation of this audible representation of this authors work. To Melody Muzljakovick ......... you made this tale come alive for me. Thank you.

Fun Fantasy

After reading Book 1 of this series, I was hoping for two things: 1) that the series would end and 2) that the language would leave out the inappropriate phrases and words. I was disappointed on both fronts. I won't be buying any more of the series. Having said that I thought the story was once again fun to read. The mystery of Azia's heritage continued, her romance with Milo progressed, the king's refusal to listen to Azia seemed just as unwise as always. But as I said the ending left a lot of things hanging. If you like the books and have a book budget that can handle it, I wouldn't discourage the purchase of this series.

The narrator, Melody Muzljakovich, did an excellent job both Book 1 and Book 2. That always adds to my listening pleasure.

I requested this audio book from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.
