About this listen

A domestic dog attack on a child leads to a complex case - the macabre discovery of indiscernible body parts amongst bin bags littering a road on the outskirts of town.

Meanwhile, a team of criminals spreads its tentacles across the sordid underworld of people trafficking, dog fighting, prostitution and murder. Is there a link between these cases, and can DCI Bennett catch a twisted killer before he strikes again?

Interesting storyline

The first two hours of this book were listened to while I was in the dentist's chair for a crown. What a beginning! Gruesome, tense, and emotional. The rest of the book was good, better than the first one in my opinion. But still not quite great. I'm still not comfortable with the characters. And the narration left a bit to be desired this time around. The narrator's voice levels were not consistent and the strong accent, although accurate I have no doubt, made it hard to understand all that was being said.

The story of human trafficking, dog fighting, protection, and other crimes kept me interested. I may listen to the subsequent book.
