Publisher's summary

Firebrook Castle is haunted.

What utter nonsense! I never believe silly ghost stories…until I suddenly inherit the crumbling Firebrook estate. And now I’m a human bravely staying the night in an old ruin to prove that tales of ghostly Hyrrokin soldiers are just that…tall tales.

And then I scream like a little girl when I discover a black-horned, satanic-looking male standing at the foot of my bed, who isn’t entirely corporeal. Which I must say is a total bummer, considering how unbearably handsome he is.

Each night this scary, shirtless apparition with an exquisite six-pack of abs hovers at my bedside.

Is this “ghost” stalking me?

And…why do I like it?

Author’s Note: No worries, this Monster Bites novella includes all the consent and a guaranteed HEA! But only listen if you enjoy fire-breathing heroes and curvy-girl heroines!

Excellent

Excellent as always. I like everything by this author. my only complaint would be that I want more. But the book can't go on forever.
The narrator was excellent as well.

Ghost? Or the love of your life?

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a touch (just a tiny bit) of spookiness thrown in for good measure. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. The two ghost hunters were harder for me to like but the way they helped Emma endeared them to me. Skog had been trapped by boundaries and the limitations that were put on him. Emma was determined to prove that her new property wasn’t haunted so that she could get it fixed up. To prove that she was right she decided to stay overnight. When Skog showed up, she wasn’t prepared and reacted before thinking. Once she calmed down she tried to communicate with him. They were immediately attracted to each other. As the days went by, Emma took steps to help her “ghost”. I loved Emma’s determination. Their happily ever after had me smiling. I wish that the story was longer so we could have seen their love develop but the instalove worked. I recommend reading this book.

Listening to the audiobook was really enjoyable as well. The narrators did a wonderful job of bringing the story and the characters to life. Both of their voices were pleasant to listen to, in my opinion. I recommend listening to this audiobook.

So many good things to say!

First Patrick Zeller is amazing, as he always is. At one point near the end the character says "consent is sexy". In the voice he uses it makes me giggle everytime!

Emma is left a historic castle as an inheritance. It turns out it was a joke played on her by the people of the planet, because the castle is haunted and she's only human after all. She's going to prove them wrong! Or maybe she'll prove them right.

so cute! I love that she loves his smell just like he likes hers. Hyrrokins, in Michelle Mills' stories, can scent people. But they can specifically they become obsessed with their mates scent.

Exciting

This was a interesting turn of the ghost kind. This was exciting and interesting and keeps you guessing what’s going to happen next. The narration was good and the story has a wonderful ending. Great listen.

Cute Story

A lot of storyline in a short time. I like the voice Patrick uses for Scog, it makes me laugh out loud. The word “bound” is not overused as in the previous books and others with the Horicons. On to the next novella!

Different and Enjoyable

I had already read this book and enjoyed the story, but when the audio version became available, I knew I had to listen to it.

Emma is a human who doesn’t believe in ghosts. For this reason, she is the one to inherit the Firebrook Estate The locals are all too scared to set foot in the place. But as Emma wants to turn it into a thriving business, first she has to have proof that there are no ghosts.

Her plan is to spend the night there, and then confirm to the locals waiting at the gate the next morning that the castle isn’t haunted. But the castle is haunted, but not by a ghost. It’s haunted by Skogg, a Hyrokin mercenary who was caught in the fallout of an experiment, gone wrong. The results for him mean he is sometimes in an invisible state, unable to affect his surroundings, and sometimes semi-phased but at night he becomes solid. And in this state has been able to feed and rest, and survive.

Emma is not afraid of him, and together they were able to repair the machine responsible for his predicament.

With the townspeople, watching from the gate and a couple of adventurous, ghost hunters added in for good measure. This is an entertaining story. I love the connection between Emma and her ghost to find out what happens listen for yourself you’ll enjoy this light entertaining read

The narration is good, Beth Roth and Patrick Zeller both bring the characters to life and give them depth.

Frasier Crane’s Beast & p😜rny Scooby mystery

The male narrator gives me a Frasier Crane earwig something fierce. This is my second, and probably last, novella by this author. It’s cute, but 90% of the story is the same as the previous one: curvy gal meets demon hunk who is smitten from boo but they have some obstacle to overcome until they can get to the formula nooky scene at the end (he rips her unmentionables, pauses cause he’s so big, apologizes before the plunge… shampoo, rinse, repeat in next novella).
