I found this book a little disjointed. I kept reading because I want to know what happens, but if I hadn’t already bought the series I wouldn’t have kept going. Diana is immature most of it and weirdly sexual. I mean she’s listening to her dad and her protector and she gets all hot and bothered. That’s weird. I do want to know more though.

Her Bodyguard, an Audiobook by Lexy Timms was a good story, after a while. I struggled to get through it initially because the character of Diana was irritatingly unlikable. She was childish, spoiled, demanding, manipulative, and just hard to like. But, eventually, I started to get into it. Her father is worried for her safety and hires Ethan as her bodyguard. He’s a better character, but seems to be too easy to manipulate. The situations she creates just made me want to strangle her. I’m HOPING that her attitude changes in book 2. This one ends on a cliffhanger….which I don’t really care for…but….I would read it…i

The female perspective of the book was wonderfully narrated by Hannah Pralle. The male portion Duke Maddox who was good sometimes…there were a couple of times, it seemed like he was reading the dictionary. But, then there were other times when he did a beautiful job!!!!

Overall a good story!

This story end in a cliffhanger and has some steamy scenes. I don’t have a problem with either of those things, but I wanted to mention it up front.

My first thought was that I really didn’t like the main character at all, a spoiled rich brat, and a mean girl. As her antics continued, I could see that there is so much more to Diana that is slowly starting to be revealed. Lexy Timms did a great job of drawing me in to the story.

The narration by Hannah Pralle and Duke Maddox was great. They both brought out the personalities and emotions of the characters.
