About this listen

Just in case you were looking for a blueprint on how to accidentally earn yourself a bully, let me walk you through how I got mine.

First Mistake: Agreeing to my brother’s crazy, horrible scheme to seduce and drug my college’s hockey star, Yom “Yum” Rustanov, to get him disqualified for doping before his big international championship game. In the dictionary under femme fatale, you’ll find me—in the antonyms section.

Second Mistake: Accepting Yum Rustanov’s invitation to his hotel room when my conscience wouldn’t let me spike his drink. Sure, it was my once-in-a-lifetime chance to lose my V-card to a hockey god—but guilt over my first mistake had me running out in tears.

Third Mistake: Returning to school. I should have transferred. Because now, the hockey god is bodychecking me into walls, slamming his hands on either side of my head, and growling, “Did you really think there’d be no consequences for your actions?”

So, yeah… I’ve accidentally earned myself a bully. One totally committed to making my last year of college a living hell—and doing a terrifyingly excellent job of it.

But when a life-or-death emergency leaves me with no one else to turn to, my ice-cold bully steps up—with conditions. And now I have to wonder: is agreeing to his terms my worst mistake—or the spark that sets a fire I’ll never be able to put out?

As always I love Ms. Taylor's books and This audiobook was good. The narrators did a great job with the characters.

it is straight evil that I thought this was a stand-a-lone and left a MASSIVE cliffhanger. it's straight evil that this was a great continuous of the Rouvagh saga and now I've gotta wait for the second book Yom sounds yummy and I NEED to know what he did to make Letia leave him the first time.

I could not stop listening! I loved the slow build of their relationship. Yom and Lydia were great together.

So so good!

Once again Theodora Taylor has written a new favorite. I've been wondering what has become of the characters from past novels in this series. It was a delight to hear from them again. Yum and Lydia are a story worth telling. Now with a ending like this there has to be a part two.

Hope There's a Part 2

I absolutely love every book written by Theodora Taylor but Yom is like woe… He’s a relentless, chiseled psychopath…I meant hero ( NOT). I can’t wait to read about Tess and Merry Christmas

Oh My God.. Yom is a true Rustanov

Theodora Taylor is usually a guaranteed good read or listen for me. Not this time. The narrator’s performances are mostly terrible, especially considering the subject matter of a class that is important to the story. I only liked the female doing the male character’s voice. I have a strong dislike for the rest of her performance. I didn’t care for the male performance at any time.

At one point it seems the personalities of the main characters get lost. Then they get back on track. Messy. Enjoyed catching up on favorite characters in supporting roles.

The story has potential, I’ll stick with it to see where it goes. Get rid of the narrators.

Narration Is a Detriment

Lydia and Yom's story is passionate, dark, intense, and twisted. Yom is enigmatic, ruthless, and obsessive. Lydia is sweet, and kind. The storyline is intriguing. Looking forward for the next book. Sydney Zaylin and Wen Ross did a good job bringing this story to life. #Valentineprlm

this one doesn't seem like Theodora's, the female voice was all wrong, too hard, unfeeling, to mature, white robotic sounding. I could do better myself, voice really changed the impact of having story read for you. disliked the ending

great story bad female voice,
