About this listen

Fans of Julia Quinn's Bridgerton Series and Johanna Lindsey's Malory series will delight in this swoon-worthy adventurous romance series with roguish heroes and feisty, intelligent heroines!

Her Wicked Longing contains two new short teaser stories starring Audrey Sheridan and her maid, Gillian Beaumont!

What trouble can a young lady with a talent for mischief and her maid get into in just one day?

"His Wicked Maid" - always prim and proper, lady's maid Gillian Beaumont has never acted with wild abandon the way her young, headstrong mistress does. But deep down she dreams of a life filled with love and a husband who will give her his whole heart even though she knows it's impossible. With a list of chores from her mistress, Gillian is given the chance to live the life of a gentle lady, and she clings to it, knowing that soon it will be over. While wearing a dress meant for her lady, she catches the eye of a handsome earl and is swept away from her duties by his rakish good looks and charm. Heated looks in public and passionate kisses in a dark corner of a bookshop create a perfect day for Gillian to cling to when she returns to her real life.

" Her Wicked Lessons" - determined to learn the art of the spy trade, Miss Audrey Sheridan finds a way to escape a dull afternoon tea by running off to the residence of an infamous French courtesan. Hoping to improve her French for a future mission to the continent, she never expects to be caught by the one man who haunts her dreams: Jonathan St. Laurent, the former servant-turned-brother of a duke. With one penetrating look from those bewitching green eyes of his, Audrey knows she's in trouble. Unable and unwilling to confess her real reason for visiting a French courtesan, Audrey decides to convince Jonathan she's there to learn the art of seduction. But she never expects the devilish rogue to take her lessons seriously.

it is ok. I

The narrator reading the book, if she had read the other ones before this one, I would not had listen to any of them and missed a good serious.

I really don't understand the meaninf of this book but I ready to move to next hoping to it picks back up like the past books did.

This Narrator is awful

Please, please, please find a different narrator. This book was decidedly less enjoyable with her performance.

Prologue to Books 7 & 8

This selection is made up of 2 short stories that lead into novels of Gillian and James in The Earl of Pembrooke AND the story of Audrey and Jonathan in The Wicked Secret.

This offering had a different narrator than the other audiobooks . Unfortunately she was not as effective as the original. Regardless, I’m on my way to the next story! Excited!

Great storytelling

Loved these stories. Listened to all of them for a second time and some for the first time and relished each one. Well written with intrigue, suspense, and love. Loved the way you carried the friendships throughout the series. Job well done Lauren 👍🏻. Narration was well done with great characterizations, accents, and intonations. Smooth transitions from character to character. Great job to Heather, Nathaniel, Carolyn, Tracy, and Catriona, but especially Heather and Nathaniel 👍🏻👍🏻.

Needs to be reviewed by the editors

There seems to be lots of areas where the reader went back and repeated herself. Became very confusing at times.

Narrator was TERRIBLE

The narrator was so overly breathy and exaggerated that it completely destroyed the experience. It was so distracting and disturbing that I had to put the volume as low as possible. Complete waste of money and a shame and the series is a wonderful storyline

Story was just okay

The narrator was horrible . I am unsure why this is narrated by a different person.

Her Wicked Longing

I loved these short stories... I cannot wait for Audrey's and Gillian's happily ever after. This was a nice tease to get me through until the next League of Rogues book. Lauren Smith never disappoints.

Excellent preview

I agree with the reviews saying that it was not a story but two short interludes. Had it been a full novel it wouldn’t have been so in expensive. It’s a build up to the next two books. To wetten the appetite. Done well but should’ve been stated that way. Anyway it’s romantic and well written. Can’t wait for next in the series. Narrator tried to do a good job but really lacked in some areas. Still better than Anne Flosnick or other drawl readers.
