1st book in The Texas Murder Files series. Romantic suspense crime thriller.
Bailey Rhoads is a crime reporter investigating the death of a woman on the local running trail. Bailey tries to work with Detective Jacob Merritt but each prefer to keep certain details to themselves rather than share, though a mutual attraction pulls at them both. Their investigation takes them to New Orleans and to the FBI.

Chilling to realize that current technology could impact so much in life. The story includes a potential that wouldn’t surprise me is already in use somewhere.
Fast, daring and intriguing. I look forward to the next in the series.

I fully enjoyed the audio version of this story narrated by Teri Clark Linden. It was compelling at high stress points as expected for a thriller. The various voices nuances were good and followable.

I have read other books by Laura Griffin and really liked them so I anticipated a great read in Hidden. I was not disappointed! I enjoy a suspenseful story with twists and turns and in the end the two most unlikely people end up together. Loved Hidden and can’t wait for Flight.

I enjoyed the story lines that crossed - I mean I knew they would. Surprises and twist kept me listening for more!

Overly precise pronunciation sounds robotic. The narrator hits the final 'd' so hard in the word 'and' (for example) that it becomes a two-syllable word, the phrase 'next to' becomes three. Weird and annoying. Why not read it like a human being with normal elision? Oh, well, it served to distract from formulaic writing and unoriginal dialogue.

I found Hidden a very interesting and entertaining read. At times I felt as though the storyline was a lot, but it came together nicely.
