About this listen

Christmas lights on palm trees and Santa hats on plastic pink flamingoes are far from the snowy landscape Maureen and her beloved golden retriever, Finn, are used to. But Maureen is determined to make this a holiday to remember—which means finding a way to promote Haven House on a shoestring. Fortunately, Haven's vintage movie theater, the Paramount, has come up with a great "Twelve Days of Christmas" idea. They'll feature an impressive list of the best classic Christmas movies ever made—shown by one-time movie actor-turned-projectionist Decklin Monroe . . .

But nobody bothered to tell Maureen that the Paramount is haunted by the ghost of a man who was murdered a few years back. Haven's top cop Frank Hubbard doesn't believe in ghosts but, believing that Decklin Monroe was somehow involved, he wants a reluctant Maureen's help.

That plan is derailed when, on the first day of the festival, a fresh murder victim is found at the theater. Now Maureen has to defend her staff and guests, while trying to keep her high-spirited resident ghosts out of the picture—before they have company for the holidays . . .

Another Great Series

I really love this Author. She has just the right amount of characters so that I'm never confused on who is who. She gives enough description on everything (but not too much). It's a tough thing to do. I'm actually bummed that I started this series because there are only 2 so far and I really want to keep listening to more. Her Witch City Series is also great (I listened to all of those almost back-to-back). I love the premise of the new hotel owner and the mystery surrounding why she inherited the hotel. This series so far (as well as her Witch City series) are great quality. I can tell that she didn't rush just to complete the book and throw something together just to meet a deadline. I also like that in this series (as well as Witch City), even though there is a love interest, there isn't time spent on long romance scenes (save those for romance novels). I just think this series is a "perfect" cozy mystery. It's really great.

Another good story from Haven

While I did figure out “whodunnit” pretty early, it was still an enjoyable listen and I will continue to listen to the series

I'm really enjoying this series.

I think I like this series even better than the Witch City mysteries by this author. I'm just hoping that there will be more books featuring Maureen and company.

Alright

it's a simple book. I knew pretty fast who was going to be killed and who the killer was. I enjoyed it, however the dog gets on my nerves with the barking. i think I spent 2 dollars for this and for that price I was fine with it.

ugh

ok, I wasn't sure why I didn't really like the 1st book. Now I know it is to contrived the character are caricatures. can't finish.
