Ann Magnuson brings Anita O'Day back to life!

I am an Ann Magnuson fan. I didn't know much about Anita O'Day. I knew she was a jazz singer (actually jazz stylist) but basically nothing else. Since Ms. Magnuson was reading the book, I thought I'd check it out. But, Ann Magnuson does so much more than read this fascinating memoir. It's more like an one woman show. Her performance brings so much energy, heart and emotion to the story. Her delivery makes the whole thing seem so modern and kind of edgy. Absolutely amazing! Super highly recommended. It's absolutely worth the time.

What a story!

This is a well told story of the jazz legend, read in a voice that could be her own. An unfiltered snapshot of moment in time. Fantastic

Fantastic Story by Great Artist.

Anita O’Day’s music is truly remarkable. Her story is completely amazing . I couldn’t stop listening to this book. I love her music even more after hearing the stories. Great book. So happy to listen to it. I felt it was Anita herself narrating. A+
