About this listen

Reporter Dana Nichols has come home to Mississippi, determined to uncover the truth behind the tragedy of her parents’ long-ago murder-suicide and clear her family name once and for all. The last thing she expected was an instant attraction to handsome, dedicated doctor Tyler Cole - or that her investigation would cause someone to try to destroy Tyler’s career and reputation. Now, as they search the past for answers, they must walk a dangerous line between trust and uncertainty that will put their future love at stake.

Reminder of why I love the Hideaway Series

Although the introduction says that Taylor Cole is a Beta, I see him as a quiet yet strong alpha male who isn't afraid to take care of what is his!

Taylor Cole is a quiet sole, but if you mess with what he considers his, there will be hell to pay. I loved Tyler Cole's character because he didn't allow monetary wealth to define who he is. His unselfish caring and dedication to the town's people made me wish I had my own personal Tyler Cole.

The narrator did an amazing job (to include sound affects. I laughed when he realized that he made mistake , and kept reading. Additionally the special effects (storm sounds) were so real that I stopped the recording three times before I realized that it sounds were coming from the story lol. Great job.

Love At First Sight

The characters didn't want to fall in love and marry however Love is powerful in this novel and in the end Love rules the heart and they both listen to their hearts.

Just OK. Rushed.

The book started very slow then peaked as fast as a kid grows up on a soap opera. I never got to truly know the characters and then it was over. Cary Hite (who is usually pretty good) sounds unrehearsed and you can actualy hear him correct himself on the recording. The female voices are horid.
