About this listen

The Posleen War Rages On - Undercover! Clan O'Neal Battles for the Right - And With Each Other!

The Indowy "Bane Sidhe" conspiracy has grown strong, and the cunning and resourceful Darhel - tacit rulers of the Galactic Federation - have decided that the time has come to wipe that threat from the stars forever. What the Darhel don't know is that humans have joined the rebellion - led by thief and assassin extraordinaire, Cally O'Neal. Now Cally is set to destroy a web of alien deceit millennia in the making. Only one obstacle lies in her path: the renowned warrior who stood tall and saved Earth from utter destruction during its first invasion by alien hordes - a legend who also happens to be Cally's father!

Multiple New York Times best-selling John Ringo's "Posleen War" saga continues as beautiful assassin Cally O'Neil returns for a third appearance in a gripping interplanetary thriller co-authored by Ringo and best-selling Cally's War collaborator, Julie Cochrane.

I can't understand why titles in a series are so often released out of order. Fortunately I was already familiar with both Cally's War and Sister Time (the latter is STILL not available at Audible as of this writing). To be familiar with the histories of several characters, you also need to have read nearly all the other Aldenata books as well.

After accomplishing that feat, this book has a couple of serious revelations and the O'Neal vs. O'Neal climax is not to be missed. Apparently this novel sets the stage for Eye of the Storm which I hope Audible will have in the near future.

Essential, IF you're already a fan.

i thought the story was coming to head in this book, but i was wrong kinda leaves you hanging a bit. but if you jump into the next book eye of the storm it really picks up where this one leaves off. like the other JR books its fun, fast, good cast, and great narrator.

a good but not final to the trilogy

the ending his hot flaming garbage. made worse by the fact the author won't be continuing the series. some major unresolved plot points here. otherwise this book is okay. I enjoyed it until the last 30 minutes.

great book, horrible ending

Couldn't sleep until I finished it. Now contemplating downloading the next one and getting started.

It's John Ringo, how could I not enjoy it?

well if you have read my other reviews then you know that these books are great, this is actually the 9th book in the chronological order I have a complete list of the correct order to read these in another review so check them because its not the order that it is labeled.

This book reunites the O'neil's as it is made obvious in the beginning of the book, but its not the way you think - Tommy Sunday is here and thats what makes things strange for how the ending of the book is, I like it but I wish it was different.

I wont go into detail and ruin the book but the thing is that from the start you think you know how things are going to turn out but they dont play out like expected, its not something that you can probably guess but its the reason the "story" part of the review got "4 out of 5" stars because the ending wasnt like I thought it should be.

I did say that this is book 9 so you know that there are 8 other books before this, not all of them deal with the same stuff but all have the Aldenata as a background and I wish they said more about them other then they genetically altered the races in the galaxy and possibly even Humans, this gathered from the other 8 books before this one.

I dont know what much more could be said but since this is the 9th book if you made it this far I assume you like the books so this review might not mean much to you - but for ther others that might have picked this book over the others know that its not the place to start or end this series however its a great series so go and start with book 1 and check my reviews to see the correct order to read them in

The O'neil's are back, but not eh way you think

Very interesting series that gets more and more complex and really does explore deeper human issues of honor, morality, and more.... Great job!

Well done as usual...

Lots of killing by assassin. Sort of The HATFIELDS & McCOYS type of thing with better weapons. Not to bad, but could have been better.

Not Bad! Not Great but well done

The narration is very poor, especially in the beginning. Even though it's the same person listed as the narrator, the pronunciation of names and nouns are different than the last book. I'm very disappointed by this book in the first and second chapter. I'm still reading the rest.

Poor Narration, and A Slow Story.

Very disappointing. Not at all up to Ringo's usual standard. All of the "pungency" of his usual works, but without the continuity or intricacy of plot. This is the first time I've been burned on a Ringo book. Guess it had to happen sometime. My advice: pass this one by.

Large quantity of that which makes plants grow.
