Publisher's summary

Amity Diaz has had worse days, but not in recent memory. No, recent memory has her waking up amidst smoking wreckage in a hellscape of craggy rocks and woman-eating trees. Did she mention the near-miss to her femoral artery or the deadly respiratory bacteria? Nevertheless, she found drinking water, Meals Ready to Eat, assorted supplies, a stray alien dog, and her trusty artificial general intelligence sidekick hasn't steered her wrong yet. With Amity's ineffable optimism, she knows she's going to be okay, especially when she can reunite with her bestie, Pattee Crow Flies. But when Amity finds out that Pattee is with someone, as in, together, as in, mated? No. Just no. Amity is determined to hike to Pattee's nearest known location on Predator Planet if it kills her. Because the Pattee she knew would never succumb to the wiles of some lusty alien hunk and settle down for the domestic life. Amity needs answers STAT.

Natheka knew, almost the exact moment the ship entered Ikthe's atmosphere, that his heart mate was on board. Now he was on a mission to find and collect the possibly injured human and bring them into the bosom of their brotherhood to reunite them with their fellow humans, and of course, to inform them that they were his heart mate. Wisely, he decides he may not want to lead with that information when they meet. But the meet cute involves a very touchy devil dog, two killer snakes, and a wounded and suspicious woman named Amity. All things considered, Natheka can't complain. Amity might be aloof, but she's inquisitive, brave, and carries the pelt of the Tree Thief. With a devil dog brought to heel, Amity shows every sign of being the mighty warrior Natheka desires in a mate. Until he finds out she hates killing. His planet is known as Certain Death. Kill or be killed is the key to survival, and if he wants his heart mate to survive, he may have to take on double duty. But the promise of a heart mate at his side means he's willing to do anything, even face off with the Ikthekal's deadliest enemy, if that's what it takes.

Amity knows she can make a life for herself on the mysterious yet phenomenally beautiful Predator Planet. But this mythical legend of the heart mate has her questioning everything. Because she's a scientist first, and while there are lots of evolutionary reproductive adaptations, she's never heard of one like this. Yet there's something about the soft-spoken, creative runner who keeps saving her life. Natheka is handsome, strong, intelligent, and damn if he doesn't smell intoxicating. He could definitely be a special friend. But those heated glances and practiced hands? He could be so much more. Amity just has to surrender to her feelings. Or die trying.

Hounded on Predator Planet is the long-awaited third book in the Predator Planet series. It contains mild swearing, monster violence, high adventure, slow burn, heated looks, and a steamy hygiene facility scene that will make you swoon. Also fart jokes.

Marvelous Romance Story

I enjoyed book three of the "Predator Planet Series" as much as the first two books. Amity was amazed by the different life forms found on the planet that her ship crashed on. Her admiration made it hard for Amity to kill anything even though most life forms on the planet were trying to kill her. Natheka was a great warrior who needed to keep Amity safe. I liked Amity's and Natheka's love story as these two characters were so different, but each could value the other's strengths. I appreciated that love played a role in their character arcs. There were some roller coaster moments that kept me waiting with bated breath to find out what would happen. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Paul Metcalfe's narration was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Awesome series

I had given up that there would be another book in the series because of the long gap between the two books. In fact, I’d really forgotten about it, but it’s definitely an awesome series. There’s a lot of action and adventure, but the romance makes it a little different and the love between the two main characters is sweet and gentle. Normally, I don’t like romances that are too full of sentimentality, but this one nourishes the soul. When I first started the series, I was a little disappointed that there was only one narrator. I felt that this would be an excellent book for a male and female narrator, however, Mr. Metcalf does a superb job, and I ended up never missing the second narrator.

Great story line

Love the slow burn with excellent plot and characters. Would have liked female along with male narrator.
