About this listen

What brings us real and lasting happiness?

Although just about every marketing firm, self-help guru, and man on the street has an answer, very few, if any, understand true happiness. It doesn’t come from power, pleasure, popularity, or possessions. So, what is happiness and how do we find it?

In How to Be Happy, author Matt Fradd relies on the help of St. Thomas Aquinas to show what will - and what won’t - bring us happiness in this life.

By making the thought of Aquinas utterly accessible for today, How to Be Happy is an invaluable guide to a good life.

Truly a remarkable and concise book teaching fundamental truths to our ultimate goal: Beatific Vision and of course ultimate happiness. I highly recommend this book. Do yourself and those around you and give it a read, or as I did, a listen!

I was worried that this book would be really sappy and cheesy, but it wasn’t. In fact, Matt mentions that he doesn’t particularly appreciate that kind of language, and so he wrote a book that he could appreciate, too. Without all the flowery language, he tackles the subject of happiness with practical, sometimes difficult to follow advice, with a lot of good Catholic teaching and background. It was interesting, captivating, useful and inspiring.
