About this listen

Crude. Arrogant. A--hole.

No doubt about it, Sebastian "Oz" Osborne is the university's most celebrated student athlete - and possibly the biggest douchebag. A walking, talking cliché, he has a filthy mouth, a fantastic body, and doesn't give a sh-t about what you or anyone else thinks.

Smart. Classy. Conservative.

Make no mistake, Jameson Clarke may be the university's most diligent student - but she is no prude. Spending most of her time in the hallowed halls of the library, James is wary of pervs, jocks, and douchebags - and Oz Osborne is all three.

She's smart, sarcastic - and not what he expected....

Every douchebag has his weakness.

He wants to be friends. He wants to spend time with her. He wants to drive her crazy.

He wants...her.

Muffy Newton has the perfect name for her voice...

This story is amusing, but the female narrator is obnoxious. Can someone PLEASE tell her to stop talking like everything needs to be snapped out and over enunciated.

Hilarious!

OMG! How have I neglected to read this series before now? This is my first Sara Ney read/listen and it most definitely will not be my last.
I got a big kick out of the "lines" at the beginning of the chapters. There were many laughs throughout the entire book.
Josh Goodman and Muffy Newton did an excellent job narrating. They really brought all the characters to life.
I loved the low-drama of the story and most of the characters. I'm curious to listen to Zeke's story now.

Performance: 5 stars for Josh. 2 stars for Muffy.

Muffy's guy voice totally took me out of the story, and her regular voice was way over the top. I couldn't wait to get back to Josh's parts.

Story was great though.

College years

This was such a funny book. The characters different point of views were on point. I love how they picked back and forth, he was a total douche bag turned into a relationship guy. Zele on the other hand...I hope he finds his match.

Loved It!

This story was perfection. Everything was the Best, the writing, characters and the narrators.
It was exciting, sexual, surprising and satisfying.
I laughed a lot, as the writing was so good that there was some fun and funny parts, as well as smokin hot scenes and exciting & romantic parts.
The narrators were excellent. This is one of my all time favorites. I can't wait for the next one by this author and these narrators. I am now a devoted fan!!!

Not sure I'm sold on the author or series

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes, to start it's not well written. The story line is predictable and becomes so unnecessarily extreme. The characters are not well developed and although they are college age, you literally want to slap them silly as the story progresses. This is one of those opposite attracts stories where they're oil and vinegar. Of course, something changes their minds and the back and for pull is simply irritating. There's nothing truly unique about this story.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

First, the overall story is way too long. There are so many unnecessary plot items that get thrown in haphazardly that it makes it stand out awkwardly. The over the top negative traits of both characters. It's so hard to want them to work out really.

Did Josh Goodman and Muffy Newtown do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The narrators do not perform this well. Although, partially in their defense, the story is seriously that bad that the narration almost made it worse.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No way

Any additional comments?

This book is so badly written it has turned my off to not only the series but the author as well.

Yes!

3.5 stars! First Sara Ney Book. I thought the story was so cute. Oz is a “douchebag” at first glance! As you get to know to him he really is a caring normal college student. I love how he is struggling his way through college financially but doesn’t let it show. I love James how she is comfortable in her skin and doesn’t care what others think. I love how their relationship begins as friendship. Great story!
