About this listen

Listen to Your Heart...and Your Head.

Anyone can get married. The goal, however, should not only be to marry, but to marry the right person. As a singles pastor, author Dan Chun worked exclusively with more than 5,000 singles, and of the hundreds who were married under his teaching, less than 10 percent got a divorce - far below the national average.

This audiobook incorporates Pastor Dan's principles, which provide practical and proven ways to pick a spouse, and is your guide to finding - and keeping - a lifelong partner. You will discover how to test your relationship for key differences using a variety of methods including the Seven Cs: Character, Chemistry, Competency, Cultural Differences, Commitment, Communication and Core Values.

Experts agree: Whether you are dating or planning to date, How to Pick a Spouse will give you clear, usable information for guiding your heart and mind before making one of your most important decisions...ever.

The book started off slow but it built a platform for understanding later in the book! It's a must read for dating or looking to get married. Before I even finished the book I recommended it to several of my divorce friends!

Great tips and insight about dating, healthy relationships, accountability, marriage, STDs, consequences, divorce, online dating, safety, counciling, what the Bible says about God's will for our lives and so, so much more. I will definitely have my teens listen to this so that they can properly prepare for a healthy and fulfilling relationship should our Lord will it.

Thank you Mr. Chun. Your book is really practical and so detailed. All the best. ~Maria

This book is exactly what I was looking for, written by a Christian author with tremendous wisdom and practical experience on the subject.

Full of wisdom

I wish this book is more about "how to find a spouse" in a christian way and less about the statistics, and church ministries that the author attends to. I personally find only 3 chapters of this book is useful. I wish it had more cake than toppings more applicable ways on how to find the right spouse. more redflags and more guidance on what to look for. but it is a OK read. nice bible verses. But to be honest I forced myself to finish the book espescially on the last 2 chapters.

its an ok read

Would you consider the audio edition of How to Pick a Spouse to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed listening to the audio of this. There are questions at the end of each section, so I would just pause to contemplate before moving on. The printed book might be better if you really have things you need to work out before being ready for a relationship.

What did you like best about this story?

The author has a nice voice and was very personable. Some chapters I felt were unnecessary for me, but could be of use to others. I particularly took a lot away from the chapters discussing Yellow Flags to watch for in developing relationships, and the Chapter on the Operating System: what things to look for in a potential partner. It wasn't your run of the mill list. He had great examples that made me think about my relationships more carefully.

GREAT ADVICE

I listened to it all because I tried getting the most out of it, but the way it is written is by using phrases from the bible to start each idea made it hard. it also lists going to church and praying as important to finding a spouse. what a waste of time.

this book is only for church people
