Publisher's summary

He's a wolf… She's a jaguar…Raphael is a former agent of the shape shifter secret police, forced into retirement after a very public scandal. Now he's assigned to help the victim of a hideous crime - a woman who has been attacked by a serial killer, and accidentally turned into a were-jaguar.

Worse yet, Catherine turns out to be Raphael's fated mate. But the serial killer is still on her trail, and perhaps even worse, Raphael's pack wants her dead. Caught between destiny and duty…Raphael must make his choice - and, in doing so, perhaps lose his pack - in this tale of obsession, revenge, lust, pack politics, and true love.

Editorial reviews

Authors C. T. Adams and Cathy Clamp collaborated on the "Tales of the Sazi" series of which Howling Moon is the fourth installment. These paranormal romances follow the dark adventures of the global shape-shifter community.

Adam Epstein performs this tale of a star-crossed love affair between a werewolf and a were-jaguar with a clear delivery that helps illuminate the complex underworld of senators turned serial killers and interspecies prejudice. In such an imaginative literary universe, characters have to be human enough to convince listeners that the Sazi exist, and Epstein's performance only lends more credibility to the prose.

TERRIBLE NARRATOR gets in way of good story!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Sorry, can not recommend to a friend because of the truely horrendous narration. But I will recommend the printed versions as the story was very enjoyable by itself.

What did you like best about this story?

The story had complexity, good character development and an interesting romantic story line.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Adam Epstein?

I almost want to say anyone. His voices are awful and distract from enjoying the story. What a horrible mistake to have him do the whole series. It will impact on the purchase of further books in this series.

Was Howling Moon worth the listening time?

It was a struggle to finish even though the story was very good. Will not listen to another with this narrator.
