Publisher's summary

In need of a distraction from her best friend's betrayal, Talia jumps at the chance to pack up and head to Washington, DC, to have a purpose once again. She is tasked with administering the annual Talent Aptitude Tests, analyzing the children of the nation's capital to identify those with powers. She knows that the mandatory testing laws are controversial but is still shocked by the protesters lining the streets of the city and the curfew imposed upon its residents. These add fuel to her own misgivings about the agency and its director, the man who raised her. As if Talia doesn't have enough on her plate with that, the director assigns her a task that will expose his dirtiest secrets. She soon learns that it isn't the children who are tested she needs to be concerned about; it's the ones who aren't. And when she encounters a face from her past, Talia must confront her toughest decision yet.

Following her heart will put Talia and those closest to her in mortal danger. But the consequences of doing nothing are inconceivable. The one bright spot in Talia's new assignment is having her boyfriend Erik by her side. Because not only is Erik a source of comfort, but he is also as determined as she is to uncover the secrets behind the mysterious illness still plaguing her. Day after day, Talia never knows when she might be overcome by one of her unexplained seizures; she must pierce the veils of secrecy covering their origin before someone decides she knows too much.

Action, Suspense, Romance & Mystery - A Must Read

Talia's journey continues in book 3. This series gets better with each book, if that is possible. Talia is starting to question everything she knows and isn't sure she wants to know the answers. Tons of info revealed in this book but still lots of questions unanswered. I am completely invested in these characters and can't wait to find out what happens next. Filled with action, suspense, romance and mystery - Talented is a must read series!!!

Throughly Addicted

I can’t say how much I love this series. The narrator did change which actually threw me off because I went immediately to listening to the last to this one and the narrator seems to be so much faster at the beginning of the book but I ended up enjoying the new narrator. The only thing I didn’t like was going from the French pronunciation for Henry to the American at first I was like who is this imposter;). I feel that Talia is returning to her roots in this book in rediscovering who she was and how to intergrate that with who she is becoming. She wanted to never see the bad just give everyone the benefit of the doubt but now she is seeing the light. I seriously need the next book now.

Better narrator for series, equally amazing story

Once again, I couldn't put down this third installment of the Talented series. We are two years into the story and the characters and story line have matured so much it is hard to believe. And the number of plot twists and turns since day one are unbelievable! Which is why I am glued to my speakers, so to speak! This highly entertaining and enthralling series keeps me on the edge of my seat not wanting to stop listening for a moment! I highly reccommend! I'm off to listen to book four...

I listened to the audiobook and I loved the narrator. She did a fabulous job portraying multiple voices and gave the book another layer!! Loved it!!

Another epic story from beginning to end!

Amazing!! Every book from this series is incredible. The cliff hanger leaves you wanting more. They changed the narrator for this audio book. It was really hard to get into the first chapter due to the voices being so different from the previous narrator, Angel Clark, who narrated the first two books. I constantly found myself tuning out, then having to go back and rewind constantly. Personally, I prefer Angel Clark a lot more. The voices of the characters sound more in sync to who they are compared to the voices that Tanya Eby created for them. I think if the authors found someone who had a similar voice to Angel, or could at least create a similar voice to the characters that we know, I wouldn't have found myself tuning out so much. Aside from the change in narrator, the story is amazing. I absolutely LOVE the love story that is Talia and Erik. Although, I was surprised at how weak, or timid or scared, that her character because in this book, like she couldn't stand up for herself. Between the love story, the suspense, and constantly wanting to know what happens next, Sophie Davis is able to create such a stunning story that constantly has you wanting more. Now, the agonizing wait for the next audio book to be released!

Fantasy

I did not read/listen to the first two books. I did not realise this was book three. I would recommend you read the other two first, this way you get more of a feel for the characters. It took me a while to connect with the main character because of this. The narrator is OK but I felt that she did not suit this book.
The author tells us what happened in the previous books so I did not feel I was missing anything. I did find certain things predictable and others a surprise.
I am looking forward to reading the fourth book!!!
