About this listen

Heris Serrano - formerly a commander in the Regular Space Service - must take whatever job she can get after her resignation under a cloud. What she can get is the captaincy of a rich old lady's space yacht...a rich old horsewoman, who has little liking for the military, and whose spoiled nephew Ronnie (and his equally spoiled friends) have been foisted on her after his folly embarrassed the family. Lady Cecelia's only apparent interest is horses - she intends to go fox hunting on the private pleasure planet of a friend of hers, Lord Thornbuckle. But events conspire to make it far more than a fox hunt.

This audiobook includes commercials

I took one star off because they put several commercials on this audiobook. The story and cast were great, but the commercials were intrusive and shouldn’t be there. Of course, audiobooks is to blame, not the author. Her characters and story were excellent.

The new format made the the book stand out for me.

I love this story and found that the dramatized adaptions made the story very interesting to listen to. Well worth the money. The only issue I found with the audio was the fact that I have hearing issues and the back ground sounds was so loud at times that I had trouble hearing the vocal audio.

Why not a regular audio book?

Advertisements? Split books? What are we paying for? Just give us regular audio books and leave the rest for other platforms. Why was it split in two? Why were there ads in between? Fantastic writing by Moon though not as good as the Vatta books.

Too many details skipped

It's a great book and the performance is very well done for what it is, but lots of little details in the book about things like character reactions in dialogue are skipped over entirely. Very disappointing. Better off if we had a true unabridged recording, and in place of that I'm going back to reading the book.
