Publisher's summary
Have you ever been hurt, betrayed, used, or done wrong? At some point in life, we all experience wounds from others. But, staying hurt is not okay. When we refuse to let go of the hurt, it turns to unforgiveness and unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other guy to die. It eats our lunch. This book is all about how to forgive, how to dig into the Bible when you've been hurt and let the Word set you free.
Forgiveness is how God does do-overs and it's how He makes things new and gives us a fresh start. You and I were made new because He forgave us. Forgiveness is the key to cut the chain to our past hurts and to walk away free.
This book shows the power of forgiveness and includes miracle stories about people who thought that forgiveness wasn't the answer to their problems, but when they learned to forgive, their lives were transformed!

Life often looks so very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a season, but others shatter us completely. We feel disappointed and disillusioned at best and overwhelmed and hopeless at worst. We quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness and why he allows us to suffer and experience grief and loss. Lysa TerKeurst understands this deeply. But after many tears, godly counseling, and prayerful seeking, she's also discovered that our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God.

Honi's story transformed author Mark Batterson's own experience with prayer and inspired him to document his journey to praying more powerful prayers in The Circle Maker.

Your past is not your past if it’s still impacting your present. Do you ever feel as though your life has become a broken record? You’re hearing the same song play over and over again? Nearly every human being on earth has likely spent some time on the carousel of pain. Whether you’re dealing with the guilt and regret of your own sinful choices, or you’re sitting in the shame of someone else’s deceitful actions, God wants to bring you healing.

Story
You long to serve God with grace and strength, to reflect Christ in every word and action. Yet you find yourself continually struggling to bring that vision to life in your daily walk. At our very core, every one of us is a "twisted sister" within whom the flesh and spirit battle constantly for control. We are afflicted with spiritual schizophrenia, the disconnect between our "good girl" desire to put Jesus first and our "bad girl" realities that crowd our thoughts and push him out of the way.

Forgiveness is an essential part of being a Christian, but that doesn't make it easy. What do we do when confronted with the unforgivable - an act that shakes our moral foundations to their roots, often committed by someone trusted and loved? Murder, sexual abuse, adultery - all leave lifelong wounds. Thankfully, they are all trespasses that, through the grace of God, can be forgiven.

Labels like these, sometimes spoken over us by well-meaning people, can cause us to believe lies about ourselves that make us question why we were born and what our purpose on earth could be. The irony is that when you feel stuck in any area of your life - career, relationships, purpose, health or money - letting go can seem very hard. You cling on for dear life just at the moment you need to take the leap. Forgiveness is a lifestyle
This is a great book about how to recognize the areas of our lives that we need to forgive others and forgive ourselves. In this book I have discovered that my blessings and the favor of God are directly tied to my level of forgiveness and grace towards others. Without forgiving myself and others I can’t experience who God truly is because my relationship began with Christ through forgiveness.

I recommend this book for every human!
This book truly touched my heart in the most powerful way. I recommend it for every human.
This book could save your life & the lives of others. I know a thing or two about pain, hurt, disappointments, betrayal, etc.( I imagine we all do) yet I also learned my power lies in my love, mercy, grace & forgiveness.
One of the many truths found in this book is - Unforgiveness is like drinking poison & expecting the other person to die. -
If you let them, the truths found in this book will set you free & open up your heart to a whole new power.
It’s not an easy read because the work is on the reader. You are worth the work & our Heavenly Father will gently walk you through the journey.
They may not deserve it, they may not have even asked for it but your/my life is dependent on it—-forgiveness.
You are worth it!

it's good
practical steps on how to forgive someone Biblically sound and founded in scripture. I'll probably be listening to this a lot tbh...

The author is just way too fast at reading this book
The content of this book may be good but I cannot get over the fact that the way she reads it so fast that it doesn’t even give us time to register and think of the concepts she is saying. It’s just too fast and distracting. I have listened to many audibles and this is the first time I’ve written a review that has to do with speed of reading. Not good.
