About this listen
I never believed in UFOs—until I found one in my backyard…
Alex is just a normal guy who works at a computer repair shop and dreams away his life. That is, until one day, he literally stumbles across a hidden spaceship.
Together with his best friends, Joey and Lucy, he explores the vessel. They find the pilot dead, but the sentient ship AI is very much alive—and she needs their help.
The friends decide to embark on an adventure into the unknown.
Soon, they find themselves on a crazy ride through space, facing aliens, pirates, smugglers, and humorless space authorities…
Will Alex and his friends find their way home? And do they even want to?

Bursting from its surface, a hologram appears showing columns of vertical lines and slashes which reminds him of binary code. Instantly, he knows that this artifact couldn’t be from this planet and he also knows that his life might be in danger as ...

Jason had nothing. No hope, no joy, no purpose. An average person, in and out. One day, the world ended, or at least the world as he knew it previously. Blue screens appeared in front of everyone all of a sudden, heralding the arrival of the System on Earth. It gave everyone a chance to become something more. It also brought monsters and dungeons that threatened to destroy the remnants of society. Yet again, Jason had nothing. Due to unfortunate circumstances, he became a dismantler; scavenging corpses for cheap change. Dismantlers were no adventurers, and certainly not heroes that people ...

Book 4 of The Galactican Series takes place in 2151 in which Roy Stone is charged with the security of 3000 galacticans and 300 space-adapted humans aboard SIS Jonathan Lunine en route to Saturn's moon Enceladus. The ship, 7.5 km loa, is powered by fore and aft mounted Deuterium-3Helium fusion drives enabling her to reach Saturn from CisLuna--a distance of 8.5 AUs--in a mere 279 days using a hyperbolic trajectory. Legacy chemical rockets like Titan IVB/Centaur rocket that carried Cassini-Huygens back in 2004 required nearly seven years with numerous gravity-assisted flybys along the way. ...

It was supposed to be a simple rescue mission—supposed to be. If Corporal John Harden had learned anything from his time in the 1215th Legion, it was that no mission went the way you expected. The Mission: Board the derelict cargo hauler DFMS Lumo, rescue any survivors, secure the vessel for return to the closest Dagdan Federation Port, and return safely to the Dagdan Federation Battlecruiser Nathanial B. Hughes. Now, he’s trapped aboard a derelict cargo hauler, low on ammo, and running out of options. Not the best showing for a freshly minted fire team leader.

Performance:
As advertised... Virtual Voice... zero personality, zero emotion, zero texture, zero richness.... I hope this is not a new trend in Audible... Not exactly droning out... but it is boring to listen to... and the way it pronounces certain words (bad-asses???) is ridiculous... NEVER AGAIN choosing a audiobook "performed" by software.
Reading something is not the same as Narrating it or Performing it.
Story:
Started as a cheap rip-off of Roadkill... developed quite quickly into a senseless plot... no build-ups. Just things happening without explanation as to how...
The characters have no brains, no planning ahead skills, no sense of self-preservation nor curiosity... Will they ever ask relevant questions? Will they even think a little before just jumping in to whatever situation?
i.e. They find a body; don't ask any questions about it; decide to just pick it up and bury it in the woods; and next thing you hear is that somebody sits in the same seat they found it, without giving a second thought or push for real answers? Seriously??!!
I have not dislike an audiobook so much in quite a long time.
Never thought that I would get tired and bored of listening to the word "ADVENTURE"
Not sure if a human narrator would have made any difference in my opinion about this book. I probably may have finished listening to the whole thing... who knows.
I apologize for the harsh review but this is not a title I would recommend to anybody.
I'm sorry.... but NO
