About this listen
A mysterious theft, a hidden heir, and an unbreakable bond.
A full-moon night always leads to mischief, yet one night changes everything—the fateful night the Raven Queen invades the elvish kingdom of Treelock, leaving none alive. Only Ildri, the secret heir born of an elvish king and a human mother, survives.
Saved by her mother's ingenuity, Ildri is hidden among her mother's kin in her home village. Her mother's parting gift: a shroud of secrecy, concealing her true identity, even from herself.
In the quaint village of Kel-green, Ildri struggles to find her place, even with her best friend, Matthew Merrick, and her supposed twin, Kirana, at her side. But a monstrous raven emerging from the forest's depth causes Ildri's world to spiral into chaos, opening questions that can only be answered by forsaking the home and family she thought she knew.
In a world of elves, humans, and elemental magic, Ildri must unravel the secrets of her past and find a way to reclaim her home.

Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. Can we make a movie adaptation already?!
Be prepared to get completely lost in a rich fantasy world of magic, elves and dragons! I was riveted the entire time by the story and could hardly keep myself from binge-listening except I didn’t want the story to be over so soon. The author does a wonderful job of transporting you to a new world, developing characters and storylines you feel fully invested in, and telling a story that will keep you listening till the end. Ildri is the beginning of a series and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. Downloading and listening to this wonderful story is the easy part; being patient for the next installment is the challenge. 🤓.

Fantastic read!!!
Once I entered the world that author Krystal Bailey created- I could not stop! What a captivating story filled with all the fantasy elements we all know and love, but written in a whole new light. The characters were beautifully written and I thoroughly enjoyed that the chapters were from the perspective of each character. It kept things interesting as you saw the story through all of their eyes. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this series and find out what happens to Ildri!

I'm already waiting for the next one! Couldn't put it down a few times, it kept surprising me. Great world building and I loved that it had a little of everything.

Refreshing heroine, beautiful love story
This is a beautifully written story that transported me to mysterious woods, lonely sea shores, glittering caves, dark passages, vast oceans, through glowing portals, and in all the seen and unseen powers that come from discovering one’s magical heritage and abilities. The heroine in this book is refreshing. She is quiet, humble, and kind, but when her power is needed, she learns to deliver large and loud.
The love story that weaves itself throughout the book is a delightful slow burn. Having the perspective of both characters made me root for them even harder! The narrator did a great job with both perspectives. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Entrancing story with great narration
I’ve always liked fantasy novels, and this is a great one. My innit complaint is that there’s only the one book out for me to read so far. I will definitely be buying the sequel.

Great Fantasy Series!
I'm not normally a fantasy genre person but I loved the author's other book, A Clearer Sky, and knew I had to listen to this one as well. The author blew me away with this one and kept my attention from the beginning. It had everything I would have wanted in a fantasy novel; magic, mystery, dragons, multiple quests and adventure, and a sweet love story. The author's talent for story telling, details, and imagry are impeccable and I was delighted to have made this my first fantasy experience. Also appreciated that it was a clean story that people of all ages can enjoy. Very much looking forward to the rest of the series!

This story left me hungry for more!!
Ildri And The Echoes of Trees is an engaging story about a half-human-elf that is separated as a very young girl from her home and family to protect her from the terrible Imogen. She is taken in by her human aunt and uncle. Once she's older she suddenly has to leave again to find safety when her cover is blown. This time she finds refuge with a new group of elves and an incredible adventure unfolds including magic, dragons, friends, traitors, and foes. It's an amazing ride of intense moments and funny comic relief with a budding romance expertly woven throughout. I enjoyed every minute of this book and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy, and exploring new worlds. I finished reading and was so disappointed it was over already! This is one of those books that leaves you hungry for more! I can't wait for book 2!

Captivating
I am not usually a fan of elves, dragons and different worlds and realms. I favor historical fiction and autobiographies.
However, this story is captivating. I am amazed by the creativity of the author and being able to paint a picture of imaginary worlds, imaginary races, and making them come to life. I was quickly cheering on Ildri and Matthew. I hope I don’t have to wait long for more.
