About this listen

An all-time best seller, this timeless classic, written at the turn of the century, has blessed millions of people who have asked the vital question, "What does it really mean to be a Christian?" As a young minister, and before becoming editor of the Christian Herald, Sheldon disguised himself as an unemployed printer and tramped the city streets with others in that same plight. He was shocked by the indifference of the Christian community. From that experience he wrote this novel.Public Domain (P)1987 Christian Listening Christian Fiction Christian Literature & Art Christianity Discipleship Genre Fiction Ministry & Evangelism Religious Studies Inspiring Heartfelt

I first heard “What Would Jesus Do?” back in the 1990s. I did not know that the movement was based on this book and only stumbled across the book a few years ago. I can honestly say that I enjoyed and have been challenged by it. Most definitely worth the time it takes to listen-and absorb-what this book says.

First published as a book in 1897, In His Steps has been one of the largest-selling books in the United States.

It is timeless when considering whether we live each day In His Steps, asking ourselves, “What Would Jesus Do?” Now an age old question that has been asked for generations, I recall being moved by this story in my teens and have reread it with the same impact on my life over the years. So, does the question challenge us just for a year? It is surely a challenge for life!

The audiobook follows a large cast of characters in various facets of several communities. It sounds like a an old radio show with voices of pride, those of shame and some of desperation. Rob Gregory carries the story well and captures the essence of the story’s intent.

Oh, To Be Like Jesus!
