Publisher's summary

Becky "Rebel" Reichert never actually goes looking for trouble. It just has a tendency to find her. Like the day Frank Knight showed up at her door, wanting to use her motorcycle shop as a cover for his elite special ops team. But Becky prides herself on being able to hang with the big boys - she can weld, drive, and shoot just as well as any of them. Munitions, missiles, and mayhem are Frank's way of life. The last thing the ex-SEAL wants is for one brash blonde to come within 50 feet of anything that goes boom. Yet it's just his rotten luck when she ends up in a hostage situation at sea. Come hell or high water, he will get her back - whether she says she needs him or not.

Too much language

Overall, I liked the book. Black ops group who use a specialized motorcycle shop as cover. I managed to get through the story, but the foul language was ridiculous. It seemed like every sentence included curse words. It got tiring after a while. So, just be aware if you're going to read or listen to the audible book. I did like the narrator.

GREAT book!

So, like the first book I had issues with the narrator's male voices. They were really cheesy, but since I had heard the narrator I was kind of "used" to them, so it didn't ruin the story for me, but it was still a tad hard to deal with.

I LOVED this book. I loved Becky and Frank in the first book, so it was great to experience their story. It was funny, and serious and had all the feels and all the action I require in a good read. I love how the next set of characters are introduced, so I liked meeting and seeing the next couple, and getting in the next character's head. Loved! On to the next one!

Great to listen too

This book is about Becky and Frank and running a company together so they can make a living together for everyone that lives at BKI. Becky and Frank has wanted each others for a long time but they don't act on it. Becky works on motorcycle and paint them and sale them. Now it is time to get the book to fine out what happens to the people. I will be buying for from this author

OK-not a real big fan of the "Big Mis" plot device

What did you like best about In Rides Trouble? What did you like least?

I thought the chemistry between Becky and Frank was great. However, this is one of those books where a 5 minute honest conversation would have solved all problems. You have to go to the very end of the book to finally get to that conversation. Too much of the plot is written around the "big misunderstanding" and the suspense/action was very much on the thin side of the plot. Harkens back to the 80's contemporary romance where a plot line was all about the two main characters totally misjudgments/misunderstandings. Boring as a plot line in my opinion. The first book in this series was much better.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Much too predictable. The "big misunderstanding" is resolved and a new character is brought in as a set up for the next book.

What three words best describe Abby Craden’s voice?

Smokey...very good job actually.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A more action/suspense filled plot. Instead of junior high level of communication between two seeming adults.

Any additional comments?

I can't say it was terrible...it had some good moments. Just way too predictable.

I liked the first story in this series which introduced Becky and Boss. This story was even better. We got to know more about how Knight Security was started more about Becky's brother Bill & friend Eve as well as new operative Angel. Most of all we got to see what it takes to bring Boss to acknowledge his feelings for Becky.

This story stands on it's own but is enhanced when read in series order.

great series

I hate to find a great series where only some books are released on audio. I buy and read the print versions but want a full collection on audio.

The series regularly references pop culture with quotes from movies and song lyrics. It is like the narater is from another planet and has no frame of reference when reading these quotes. it is really off putting.

Read the Actual book

The narrator- her voice is- ugh! Its so deep and emotionless, this is what I imagine a female sociopath would sound like. I was beyond excited for Becky and Boss's story and that it was part of the romance package, I couldnt wait to listen. But her voice ruined it for me within first 5 minutes. Her voice is not appropriate for this series. I had to stop listening, after chapter 1 and go buy the actual book.
