About this listen

In the fourth and final installment of the Significance series, Maggie and Caleb must tie up all the loose ends of their lives and make a way to be together completely on their own. With everything that happened with Bish and Maggie's father, she's almost reluctant to move on and move out.

And now she must figure out all of this…stuff…with Haddock.

But of course, nothing can stay simple for the Jacobsons. Enemies who were thought to be dissolved have decided to not go down so easily. And old flames come calling for more than just Maggie. Caleb is torn between leading his family and personal wants. Maggie is torn between Caleb and being the leader of their people. But neither will let what they need most to be pushed to the wayside. They are determined to make it all work, design a plan toward destiny, and make everything right again for themselves and their family.

And then there's a wedding…

Those horrid Watsons!

At every turn Maggie & Caleb have to fight to protect their families & to be together. The evil plots the Watsons concoct are endless. Shelly Crane did well with this series and I keep rereading it every year The narrators are excellent & add to the story's appeal even more.

Happy ending!

So glad everyone got their happy endings but it did seem to drag on and on in places which drove me to irritation. One thing that I didn't like throughout the series is how Maggie had terrible friends, including her brother Bish and her dad. They were horrible to her and Caleb. Kyle just couldn't leave her alone and tried every trick in the book to take her away from Caleb, that is until he finally imprinted then he was somewhat cool but still was a whinny jerk. Bec, Maggie's supposedly best friend was horrible and a bitch. But Caleb's family was wonderful with Maggie. It was her side of the family that was mean and vicious. Other than all that.....I like the series. lol. Loved how Caleb and Maggie didn't keep secrets from each other. A lot if books do that so this was refreshing. Has an epilogue at the end.

Great Narration

I love Cris Dukeharts narrating. i had to get used to Kyle McCarley but he is really good too.

I love all Shelly Crane's books to read and listening to them makes the characters come alive more and I hear things that I skimmed over when reading.

Amazing Story!!!😁

i have read and listened to Significant series. I absolutely love this story! Caleb and Maggie's love story it's so heartfelt. There is so much more in this series then you could ever imagine or hope for. I Highly recommend there are so many ups and downs you definitely get drawn into the story it doesn't matter if it's 10:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. you just cannot put it down.

amazing conclusion. loved it.

Where does Independence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Seriously high. And I've listened to thousands. I truly loved this series.

Have you listened to any of Cris Dukehart and Kyle McCarley ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, but I'm definitely going to seek out other Chris dukehart books. I preferred her over Kyle mccarley's parts.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

You can't outrun Destiny.

Male Narrator Sucked

I hated the male narrator, his wimpy voice did not fit the character of Kaleb.
