About this listen

Anya Gage has learned that to get anything good in life, you have to work for it. She has no expectations, no dreams. Then she finds herself at a party where she doesn’t want to be, and she meets Knight. Knight Sebring knows who he is, what he wants, and what he likes. And he gets it. But he never expected something as sweet as Anya Gage to wander into his bedroom during a party he did not expect to be having to borrow his phone. Knight tries to leave Anya to the life she deserves, with white picket fences and a man who watches football on Sundays - good, normal, and clean. But when Anya comes to his nightclub and finds herself in a situation, he knows someone has to look after her. He can’t fight it anymore and decides that someone will be him. Knight teaches Anya that just as with the bad, in life you should also expect the good. And he teaches her this by giving it to her. But Knight has a dark past, and just as he desires Anya for exactly who she is, he fears that when she finds out exactly the man he has become and always intends to be, she’ll leave him for good, normal, and clean.

Least Favorite KA Book

Any additional comments?

I am a huge KA fan so it hurts to say, but this was a tough read. It was as if KA wanted to do a cross between the Crossfire Series and Fifty Shades. It definitely wasn't her best work. If this is your first KA read, don't give up. Read the Dream Man Series.

Awesome performance

I read this book and liked it so much I bought the audible. BUT as much as I liked I LOVE the audible version. Love Savannah Richards performance. I could listen to her all day long. Ms Richards draws you into the story and allows to live it and be in the moment.

Love Kristen Ashley

The story of Knighr Sebring is the first in the unfinished heroes series. I didn't know what to expect but I loved it. Ms Ashley did it again!

My Knight.....wish i had one like this one!

I loved the story line, LOVED the characters. Yes I wish the heroine of this book was a little stronger in standing up to Knight, but she did get stronger starting about mid_way through the book. Yes there was some ok a lot of repetitive dialogue, but I felt it did not distract from the story. The audiobook is the way to go with this book because of the dialogue. It was smart, steamy hot and a VERY hot Knight. I thought the narrator was very good.

The voice isn't right for Knight

Any additional comments?

Knight is my absolute favorite book. I think I've read it about 10 times. However, this is the review on the Audible version.

Knight is described as a tall 250 pound man with an aggressive male beauty who has a deep growling voice. I imagine the voice to be similar to Thor's AKA Chris Hemsworth, who I keep asking for Christmas but he has yet to be delivered.

Knight is described through most of this novel growling out orders or replies. There is so much emphasis on his growling deep voice, I'm left a bit disappointed with this Audible.

I think Savannah Richards did an excellent job. However there was no way a woman would be able to pitch her voice deep enough to match what has been described. I think the only way to come close would have been to have two narrators one being a man with a deep growling voice.

This was the first Audible book I've ever purchased. I'm not sure if this is my "thing" or not. I don't know if it was because I pretty much know this book backwards and forwards. Or if it's just I was more easily distracted in this format. I think it's a bit of both.

It also didn't help my husband coming in during the "strap" scene. Which is like the hottest scene EVER! He was like WTF are you listening to? My response shut up and go away! Which of course he doesn't!

So needless to say I'm torn on the Audibles. I think personally it would work for me for flights or car rides since I can't read in the car or plane without getting sick.

I've already given this book a 5 the first time I read it. But if I would rate the Audible I would say a 4. The voice of Knight just wasn't right for me. Like I said this is nothing against Savannah she did a brilliant job. Just with her pitch and tone of voice there is no way she could get his voice right....Sara

***** I loved Knight's character. ❤️

I loved this story so much, I hated when it was finished. KA, does it again with her detail in story telling. I couldn't stop listening, finished it in two days. I love the male alpha character. He was sexy, dark, rich and dominating. The female character had just enough chemistry in the beginning to make the story great. Savannah Richard narration was absolutely fabulous.I make it my business to listen to as much of her narrations as possible.
