An excellent reading of a masterfully writen story

I loved the Kindle version of Infected: The Fall so much, I immediately bought the audible version when I saw it was available. Chris Ritchie did an excellent job narrating the tale. His character voices brought a rich new dimension to an already amazing story. If you are a fan of the zombie genre or The Walking Dead, you will love Infected: The Fall. The action is fast paced, the plot is well thought out and believable, and the prose is masterfully written. I hope the second book in the series, Infected: The Flight, comes to Audible soon because it was even better than Infected: The Fall.

Not bad, despite the narrator

the story was not bad at all and did give a more possible explanation for zombies. however, the narrator had a great deal of difficulty with a range of voices that did take away from the performance.

lots of description

A good story slowed down by too much description of scenery. Action scenes were just ok and seemed rushed while descriptions of grass, hills and trees seemed to be the focus is the story.

Well written characters

The book is well written, a lot of action and characters are well developed. The narrator was perfect for the men’s voices, not as great for the female voices but it didn’t ruin the book for me and I’ll be purchasing the next book.

Meh....

Probably could have been 2 hours shorter....the detailed description of hpw a drill pr a rifle works pissed me of... SKIP! I like the narrator, but the way this book ended stopped me from moving on to the next

InFected: Book One. . . Very Easy to 'FALL' Into!

So glad I found Caleb Cleek's "The Fall!" After reading the synopsis, I thought this would be a great one to add to my zombie library, and I was right! The storyline is filled with never ending zombie mayhem, which flows flawlessly along with the realistic and understandable human emotions the characters must face while trying to negotiate their new, uncertain and uncompromising world.

It would be much appreciated if audible made the second book in this series ("The Flight") available ASAP. These types of books/series are (without a doubt) much more exciting when listening, as it makes the graphics so much more realistic, and the whole experience tons more thrilling.

Thank you, Mr. Cleek and Mr. Ritchie, for the incredible beginning to a super exciting Zombie adventure!

Okay zombie story

Story so far does have a lot about zombies and for the main character to be a cop he made a lot of dump decisions. Also he care more about his “job” than his family’s safety. Out chasing a criminal instead of protecting his home and family. What did he think would happen when he gone all day thinking up dump shit to do. Which at the end helped no one and got people killed. Storyline went in to many directions.

A lot of unnecessary fluff!

This book was just OK. It seemed like the author was adding words to fill the space. Instead of saying “I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich“. He would walk the reader through the steps of making the sandwich. Ex: I got the bread from the pantry, I pulled out two slices. I tied the bag back up and put it in the pantry because that’s how my wife likes it. I got the peanut butter out of the cabinet located on the second shelf, etc. etc. until he gets to the point where the entire sandwich is made. (Insert eye roll.) This is just an example of his storytelling. A lot of Unnecessary detail in the story. As far as zombies go, there was minimum interaction in my opinion. Tho I’ve read hundreds of zombie books at this point, so maybe my expectation is higher.
