Awesome alloy of super human and magic

Great story and narrator. The design of the magic/powers system is detailed and does not feel contrived or derivative.

So darn good

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wow, this was a great book. I was sucked in right away and my interest was held throughout. The story is really well done. It is interesting and has excellent world/character building. The narration is also extremely well done. All in all, this is a really well done book and a series I will most definitely follow.

Buyer beware!

If you are one of those people who wait for series to complete before getting into them then this series will be leaving you waiting in anticipation for the rest of the books to come out its that good.

the only thing I can compare this series to is Avatar the last air bender in that the Will Wight has created a Interesting world and characters inspired by eastern themes with some western flair.

Truly a Great Story!

This is a great start to what feels like will be a great epic. It is in the cultivation genre, and is truly a great story. The only thing that takes away from the book--is the lackluster summary provided--ignore it. If you like cultivation books, pick this one up, you will not be disappointed.

A Good Moral Lesson

I wasn't as engaged with this book as I would have liked. It's a good story.

The author is famous for his world building. He had a good magic system and the world he built was interesting.

The main character had admirable qualities. He was very clever and very humble. He fought against his fate of amounting to nothing and was rewarded for his persistence.

It has a good moral lesson, I'd read this to my nephews. Sure that it would help them become better people.

Okay

First of all, great effort on world building for those who want to know.

If you’re into magic systems and depth of lore etc this is a great book for you.

My issue wasn’t with anything like this. It was simply the lack of character. Lyndon wasn’t a bad character, I just had trouble caring about him or anyone else.

There were some odd choices in beings from other worlds and realms that might make sense later but at this point it just felt convenient and out of place.

I’ve been looking forward to reading these for awhile. I was disappointed.
