Very basic intro info
If you are completely new to the idea of creating a personal brand and becoming an influencer ( making a living off of said brand through sponsored content and brand partnerships), this book may be useful as it gives a glimpse into influencerpreneurship, including interviews with notable instagram influencers. However, if you’re looking for concrete, actionable tips on how to create and grow your personal brand, sadly this book falls short.
I’m in the intermediate area ( I have about 50k followed on Pinterest and on my largest Instagram about 8k; I also run a FB group for bloggers with about 30k members) and am looking to switch my business model from consulting to partnerships. I’ve done some in the past and worked with brands but it was the smaller of my income streams. I bought this book thinking I’d get concrete and actionable tips on how to grow my follower base and learn how to better collab with brands, and while while he author does give some good info on what brands are looking for, it was info I was aware ( being professional, creating a press kit, etc). In other words, i didn’t get much out of the book that I can actually implement and the content is very introductory.

The Best Social Media Book I’ve Read
So I was road tripping and picked this audio book to start my trip not really thinking I’d come anywhere close to finishing but wow!I felt in the zone listening to it, and finished it before I finished the road trip lol. I really appreciated Brittany’s work! I’ve studied Gary Vaynerchuk closely for years and always had a passion for social media but have been kind of stuck in limbo in what to do next. I can easily say this book was my favorite out of at least 5 books I’ve done on social media and has inspired me to take big steps in my own personal journey with social media. It was very well done providing all kinds of examples and stories from current influencers that are beneficial to anyone looking to apply their methods. If you have any interest in becoming an influencer or just how the whole influencer game works, this is a must read!

Super useful for those already in the game
Brittany's book is well-done and thorough for anyone who is an influencer and wishes to become even more successful. I wish it would have had more for people who were aspiring to be one, but it did contain the most useful help towards that, which is developing your brand authentically.
The author's success was a huge factor in making this book work. She works with insane amounts of money from brands every day and some of the best parts where when she talked about her personal encounters with Internet celebrities, both good and bad. It doesn't sound like she's done much in the way of audio narration before, but considering that she did an admirable job and having the author read this work only made it feel more personal.
Oh and she should write a book just about her life. The anecdotes in the conclusion were wild. Haha
