About this listen

Don't fall in love. Hide, and you'll make it through.

The last thing on Esther Dunja's mind is falling in love. Her goal is to keep her head down and slide through the next twelve years until her son graduates. After being run out of the last school she taught at by her ex, Esther needs to make this new teaching job work. It's her last chance to retain custody. The problem is she never anticipated falling for her son's kindergarten teacher.

Melanie Przybyla is a single mom to four grown kids, and she finally has time for herself—or so she thought. With family drama on the rise and a new teacher in her school that she can't stop thinking about, Melanie comes to a startling realization: She's attracted to women. She just has to figure out why Esther Dunja is so terrified and how she can date her student's mom.

When conflicts of interest abound, Melanie and Esther have to navigate what they're willing to risk to let their love blossom.

Loved this book

This is a great cooperation between a writer and two narrators, it is the third book in the pack and I already preordered the forthcoming one. I really enjoy the story line and the MC of this book, just as the former ones. And both narrators are excellent.

Younger ice queen. Or is she?

The complexities of a younger ice queen, means she's not as icy as she appears. I think Esther is a very interesting character and she has a lot of chemistry with Melanie. There are a few issues with Esther being a little too neurotic here or there, but the situation she finds herself in and her backstory really informs it, so it is never out of character.

I really enjoyed the dual narration. I think it added so much to the story. I think just reading it would be a poorer experience which is not something I usually think with books.

Absolutely beautiful

This is a really great book! I love when there’s more than one narrator, this pair worked beautifully together. I won’t spoil the book for you, but all I can say is you definitely wouldn’t wanna read this one.

Hang in there…

Great having the two narrator’s give life to these characters, The build up is sappy and drawn out but doesn’t disappoint. Great character development; making the wait worth it.

Very good book!

I like this author very much. With each story, the author gets better and the plot development is better. The two main characters were excellent. Esther’s personal growth from a woman with such abuse thrown at by her son’s father was amazing and demonstrates how bullying is not with children but adults suffer it as well. Melanie started out as Esther’s mentor teacher and was drawn to Esther no matter how hard she pushed Mel away. The growth of their relationship was beautiful to see. Anthony was an adorable little boy who stole the heart of anyone who met him.

The two narrators were excellent as usual!
