About this listen
Have you been looking for a fun educational book that brings life to some of the hidden animals of our deserts, one that the whole family can enjoy and play along with?
Well, you have finally found it!
Every year, our deserts are growing hotter and hotter due to global climate change. This brings many challenges to the animals of our deserts, but luckily, they have found a solution for survival! From extra water storage, giant ears for cooling, or microscopic silver hairs used to repel the heat, these animals are always adapting and changing to the environmental shifts caused by the human race over many years.
Did you know that the burrow of a Mojave tortoise can reach lengths of 33 feet and width of three feet?
This world is bigger then you may think, so come with me and lets explore!
In this book, you will learn about the unique animals and some of the fascinating traits they have gained to battle the sweltering heat, like the:
- Mojovi desert tortoise
- The tiny but mighty silver ant
- The unique traveling sidewinder rattlesnake
- The nine-foot high jumping kangaroo rat
- And one of most well-known desert animal, the camel
- And much more...
So, if you are looking to pass time and want to learn about some of the animals in the desert and their abilities to thrive in one of the harshest and most unforgiving habitats on earth, then scroll up and buy now.

Story
Rosemary and Peter Grant and those assisting them have spend 20 years on Daphne Major, an island in the Galapagos, studying natural selection. They recognize each individual bird on the island, when there are 400 at the time of the author's visit or when there are over a thousand. They have observed about 20 generations of finches - continuously.Jonathan Weiner follows these scientists as they watch Darwin's finches and come up with a new understanding of life itself.

Some people insist that culture is strictly a human feat. What are they afraid of? This book looks into three cultures of other-than-human beings in some of Earth's remaining wild places. It shows how if you're a sperm whale, a scarlet macaw, or a chimpanzee, you too experience your life with the understanding that you are an individual in a particular community. You too are who you are not by genes alone; your culture is a second form of inheritance. And your culture, too, changes and evolves.

Story
Part memoir, part scientific investigation, Racing the Clock is the book biologist and natural historian Bernd Heinrich has been waiting his entire life to write. A dedicated and accomplished marathon (and ultra-marathon) runner who won his first marathon at age 39, Heinrich looks deeply at running, aging, and the body, exploring the unresolved relationship between metabolism, diet, exercise, and age. Why do some bodies age differently than others? How much control do we have over that process, and what effect, if any, does being active have?

Misconceptions, misunderstandings, and flawed facts finally get the heave-ho in this humorous, downright humiliating book of reeducation based on the phenomenal British best seller. Challenging what most of us assume to be verifiable truths in areas like history, literature, science, nature, and more, The Book of General Ignorance is a witty “gotcha” compendium of how little we actually know about anything. It’ll have you scratching your head wondering why we even bother to go to school.

It's crucial to save the animals from extinction
Many kids grow up only seeing animals in captivity (at a zoo) or portrayed as human-like characters in movies. Many kids have become so far removed from the natural world they can't tell the difference between species. And basic science and zoology is not being taught in many schools. This book is a great listen and will help kids understand about the animal world around us. This episode focuses on desert animals - their habit and habits. Fun facts to engage young minds and help them have more respect for wildlife. Your kids will want to listen to it over and over!

Fun, quick listen!
What a fun book! It delivers on its promise and you’ll find any road trip will be more enlightening with a ton of interesting animal facts. Too many facts to choose from, but one that stuck with me was about a beetle that can collect moisture from the air and drip it into its mouth. Wild stuff :) I think this would be perfect for a road trip or to listen to with your kids. I’d highly recommend!
