My Heart 🥰

This duet has my heart. This was definitely an emotional roller coaster. Into the Darkness broke me with that ending but it was so worth it for the way Into the Light played out. I never cried so much with a book but that was because this was beautifully written that I felt all the emotions that were meant to be felt throughout this book. Vee Taylor did her job because this story was meant to be told and will definitely spark up the conversation that is much needed. I also just want to say Thank You to Vee Taylor.

Loved every bit

Wasn’t sure how this was gonna go after the first books cliff hanger of all cliff hangers!!!! But man it didn’t disappoint and I don’t know who I love more for the MMCs. Loved this book. The duet narration was top notch as well.

4 stars

I started this book right after the cliffhanger. Luckily it continued right where the story left off. This one was focused more on Ember's journey to healing. What she went through was so heartbreaking. Despite everything I loved that she dealt it the same way she did with everything. With basically finding support from others. I also liked that we discover the truths about some of the mysteries from the first book.

As for the audiobook narration, it was so good! Performed in duet narration by Oscar Reyes and Paige Reisenfeld. They both gave a compelling performance. This book was sad, but uplifting too. They brought out all the emotions with their expressive tones. They both embodied the characters and elevated the story for me. I loved the epilogue. I loved that the story went full circle too.

LOVE

This was so good, I was absolutely devastated after the first book and was really hoping the second book would answer my questions. The titles of both books are so fitting. I am so sad it’s over.

Oh my tears!!!

This was so sad but so perfect!!! The narrators did a great job closing out the story of Ember, Ash, and Rain.

This book was so good!

I loved the story and while it has it sad parts and deals with mental health, grief and trauma the narration was amazing

Loved!!

Like many I was devastated at the end of book and very hopeful that Ash would be back. HOWEVER! I freaking love Rain!! After reading the first book and all in for Ash and then reading this book, you really saw how toxic Ash’s and Ember’s relationship was. There was not doubt that they loved each other, but Ember and Rain sooooo much better! You could tell that Ember was dealing with a lot and you find out as the book goes on what she was dealing with. I also love the relationship that her and Sergio developed it was like a brother/father relationship. From book one, I was hoping she would end up with Rain or be a why choose and I hate why choose, but I loved Rain. I always felt someone had a hand in Ash’s death but was suprised that no one did. I also liked how Ash and Walsh had some type of relationship and was conspiring together. I love that Rain was honest with Ember because that’s all she wanted and Ash wouldn’t be honest with her. I really liked the story line and the mystery feel to it. I loved the ending of this book. Even though this is a romance book there is also sensitive subjects in the book, please check your trigger warnings.

Bittersweet….

This one had a better ending than the first, but it was still bittersweet. The story was good and the narrators were great, but my heart still hurts.
