Good Story

Lainie and Jax dated briefly in high school. After a situation at home Laine had to leave and never came back. They reconnect 10 years later and Lainie's pay comes back to haunt her. Jax and Laine are on the run now as they try to outsmart the killer. The story was good but I felt it was a little too rushed. I
would have liked the author to slow it down so I could feel more of a connection. Jax and Lainie have been separated for 10 years and I wanted more one on one time of them getting reconnected. I felt they had a lot to discuss and we only scratched the surface when they finally have their sit down. The author goes from past to present which I liked as well. Gives you a good backstory. Overall the book was good and I was able to listen in one sitting. The narrator did a good job capturing the emotions.

great narrator

the narrator on this one is great. I'd only give the story a 2.5. the same scenes are retold from both POVs so it's twice as long as it needs to be, even the dialog is repeated in places. I'm also not a fan of going back and forth from ten years before to present day. However, the narrator has a great voice and so listening was easy I just wish I enjoyed what he was reading more. I would be willing to try other works from this author because the plot and the characters were good. I just wasn't a fan of having to go through every scene twice.

Is she invisible?

There are times when a book has the perfect title and this is one! Lainie is Jax's tutor in high school and even though complete opposites, they briefly date. When she is attacked by her stepfather, she disappears and goes under a new identity. Now 10 years later, Jax enters her office, and realizes it is her. He is not going to let her go this time. When she is now being sought out, will he be able to protect her? I love romances that have a history. LA Remenicky gives us flashbacks from now back to high school flawlessly, giving us that look at what life was, and how things evolved. The questions of how and why are answered and the initial chemistry between Lainie and Jax leads to their future. Second chances are rare and it gives us that sense of hope and love, The suspense element for me is a bonus, as I love to have that heart stopping thrill. This is my first book by Remenicky and will not be my last!

Narrated by Trevor Thompson, he gives us that melodious baritone voice. He is an excellent choice for this type of story, as he is able to fluctuate between the warm and loving right into the evil and dangerous. He gives an amazing performance, one you do not want to miss.

wonderful story

I really enjoyed this story. my only uh moment is the narrator's voice. don't get me wrong is hot as hell, orgasm on the spot hot. But that's part if the issue. There needed to be a little more difference between male and female parts. I was a little confused in the beginning thinking it was 2 men. Aside from that, omg!

Rollercoaster Ride

Loved this book. Jax and Lanie were tested all through their lives. The both showed courage, honesty, sacrifice and resolve. Time and danger did not end true love.

His voice is seductive gold. Why have I not heard him before? I would listen to him read the atomic table.

Great Read

Invisible was a good read by L.A. Remenicky. Jax is a detective who goes to see a psychologist. He never expected that the doctor would strongly resemble the woman he loved Lainie. Lainie disappeared 10 years ago after her and Jax had a first date that ended in violence. Jax would have never believed that Dr. Elizabeth is really his Lainie. They both go on the run in order to keep Lainie safe. As the killer threatens their lives, they grow closer. I really enjoyed reading Jax and Lainie’s story and can’t wait to read more by L.A. Remenicky.

Invisible.... year not!

*was gifted a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review*

I liked the story of Laney and Jax. The growing budding relationship of their high school selves. The moment they have to part ways, the hard choices made. Then to have them thrust back together in the oddest of circumstances. It was a great mix of laughs, intensity and love.

For me the story was rushed at times. Then sometimes it felt a little muted. Like something was missing.

As for the audiobook itself, it was good but the narrator went too fast. It's like he was on a time crunch or something. There was only a hesitation between chapters and POV changes, so a couple of times I had to stop and go back to figure out what I missed.

OMG, the narration!

I received this audiobook free at my request and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Allow me to echo what other reviewers are saying here. This is one of the best narrated books you will ever listen to. You will find yourself lost for 3 hours and then longing for more. Overall, a pretty good mysterious romantic tale that will leave you gasping for breath. I need to check out more from both L.A. Remenicky and Trevor Thompson!

Good story with a sinful narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would. The story for the most part is enjoyable, even if there were times when it was repetitive. The narrator's voice held your attention and you wanted to keep listening.

Would you recommend Invisible to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes. While it did get repetitive, overall the story is good.

What about Trevor Thompson’s performance did you like?

The deep timbre of his voice holds you captive and you want to keep listening to his melodic voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really. Although there were times when I felt anxious when she had been found.

Any additional comments?

Invisible by L.A. Remenicky is a story about Elaine, who is hiding from someone, and Jax, who has loved her for 10 years...even after she disappeared. Fate stepped back in and brought these two together, but something else lurks out there too. A killer has been set free and in hunting her. Can Jax save her? Will Elaine disappear out of his life again?

This is an audiobook review. So Let me break the book down into the two parts. First the story. 3.5 stars. There were parts of the story I think were slightly rushed. On top of that, the story was written from dual POV, but after getting one, you got the exact same scene from the other perspective. While at times that could be a good thing, too much of it becomes repetitive and it felt as if parts of the story were repeating again...not necessarily in a good way. That said, the story was enjoyable and I really liked how the characters interacted with each other. Jax wants to save the world, and Elaine definitely needs saving.

Next is narration. Can I just start out this part of the review by saying I love Trevor Thompson's voice? It's deep and sinfully sexy. 4.5 stars. I think his voice kept me pulled into the story and kept it interesting. I loved the way he read the book and his intonation was great. Trust me, you will love listening to his voice and will be looking for him elsewhere.

Overall: 4 Stars. Overall the story was enjoyable and the narrator was a perfect choice. I recommend that you pick up this audio book today.
