Publisher's summary

Falling for a bad-boy rock star is the last thing single mother Casey Anderson-Bovier should do. Embroiled in a custody battle with her ex, Casey is fighting to raise her boys in their quaint Colorado hometown - a secret haven for celebrities. But when it comes to her hotel's newest guest, Casey can't connect the dots. Is Zane Steele the out-of-control rocker plastered all over the media, or the captivating man with a killer smile who's charming her and her two boys?

Zane has a good reason for letting the world believe the worst of him - and that's a secret he's sure he can never share...until he meets Casey. After years of having fans fall at his feet, he's found the one woman who brings him to his knees. Casey is beautiful and intriguing - and thoroughly justified in not trusting him one bit, especially with her family at stake. But the only way to be together is to convince her to take a chance on him, on fate, and on their crazy, unexpected love.

Very Good

My favorite book of the series. I enjoyed this story and the secondary storyline with the ex-husband. While there were some irrational moments, the MCs acted like adults through most of the story.

Nice story.

It was a sweet story. It was a little distracting that all the guys voices sounded the same.

My favorite Tamra Bauman book yet.

Kate Rudd is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators too. The voice she used for Cassie must be her normal voice.

love this series!

This is wonderfully narrated! I absolutely love Tamra's books, I usually do a listen and read through kindle unlimited, but she had a wonderful cause going with donating her proceeds to a cancer foundation I purchased this set. This is a contemporary romance, with real struggles of a new relationship when both parties have their own issues that need to be worked out. Casey is a single mother of two boys in middle of a custody battle with her ex husband. Her past few relationships have not been kind to her, and she isn't trusting very easily of men theses days. Zane has his own secrets, then he is sent off to hind for eight weeks while his brother is suppose to be getting the help he needs. Casey and Zane find their way to each other, but can their love survive the road ahead... it's a must read and listen to book! Add it to your library today, because you'll want to listen to it again!!

This series get better and better..

This book was the best yet of this series. I absolutely loved Zane and Casey. A rock star and a hotel manager. Casey trying her darnedest not to care about and Zane trying his best to make Casey a part of his life. And I liked Casey’s two sons, Caleb and Tyler, too. They were awesome kids, not the selfish brats most authors want to make of them.

Loved seeing Meg, Ryan and Ben. As well as Grandma and Zeke and Dax. But, wow, Tomas was such a money hungry A-hole of a father to Caleb and Tyler.

This was such a great story about Zane and his twin brother who made Zane’s life as miserable as possible, all the while taking full advantage of all Zane’s wealth, while trying to ruin Zane’s reputation and while telling the press that Zane had killed their father. Boy, what a piece of sh%@ Nick was. There was never a dull moment in this book.

There was explicit sex in this book and some swearing, but nothing too serious.

As to the narrator: Ms. Rudd was awesome with her men’s voices and her emotions while reading. There was the usual laughing and whispering and yelling, groaning, moaning, etc that KR did a fantastic job on.

This is an enjoyable series! Great Narration too!

I am really enjoying this series. The stories are very entertaining, There are some great characters. This one is about Casey and Zane. These two made a great couple. They had some great chemistry together. Real and genuine. There is sex but it is nicely written and does not take over the story.

The story line and plot was good. I liked the twin brother twist. I also liked that her kids were good and decent not bratty little jerks. I love it when the author writes about good kids. The story flowed so nicely and was very easy to follow. There was a lot of dialogue throughout the whole book and it wasn't full of filler nonsense.

As for the narrator, she did a fantastic job. Really like her narrations, The men sound like men, she has a very nice reading voice and reads with emotion as called for or sometimes with her mouth full of food as called for. LOL It's so great when an author narrates as the story is written, ie laughing, coughing, choking, whispering etc..

Ok, But..

I didn’t hate this book, I just got bored with it. I liked the characters, Zane and Casey, but their narrative voices were so excruciatingly slow that maybe I should have listened at a faster pace. Apparently Kate Rudd is the kind of narrator that just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe a duet narration would have made it easier to listen to. It wasn’t the worst book I’ve ever read. Rock stars brother gets into trouble and rock star has to take the fall. It was just, eh…
