I loved Samantha and Maguire's story !

I have loved all the books in this series thus far. This one gives us a second chance story.

Sophie Eastlake as always does a fantastic job at narrating. She is clear spoken and handles all the characters with ease.

If you love good wholesome romance with a touch of spice this series would be great for you.

It's Me Again, Baby

Would you consider the audio edition of It's Me Again, Baby to be better than the print version?

It's Me Again, Baby by Katie Reus
I love this series with it being based in a year round Christmas town. This is the 3rd story of the series. Sometimes a novella can feel rushed, but Katie has a knack of doing them well! This is the story of Maquire and Samantha. She had broken his heart years ago, and this is their path back together. He needs a house and is shocked when “Sam” shows up to be his realtor. It doesn't take them long to realize they still have heat and attraction. I enjoy the second chance stories and getting beyond the problems. Once again Sophie Eastlake is the narrator, she does her usual great job.

Second Chance Romance

Maguire O'Connor and Samantha Murphy were in love until she let the lies of a jealous woman make her reject him. She broke his heart. He came back to Holly after his military service and now Sam is back home after the death of her father. Do they get a second chance at love? Maguire never forgot Sam. He knows that she's the one. I liked this Alpha male. He'll do everything in his power to take care of Sam. As for Sam she realizes her mistake and is sorry for hurting Maguire. I liked that she admits she was wrong and that she's willing to try again. They are good together. I liked their spicy dialogue. Katie Reus mixes a passionate romance with a touch of suspense. She had my attention. Sophie Eastlake's narration adds so much to the story. These two work well together. It's good to be back in Holly, North Carolina and to catch up with the O'Connors Family. This series is filled with love and family. I'm enjoying this series.

Great Book!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the third book in the O’Connor Family series written by Katie Reus and narrated by Sophie Eastlake. Years ago Samantha made a mistake and lost a chance at something real with Maguire O’Connor. Now that she’s living in Holly again, she knows seeing him is inevitable. But the last thing she ever expected was to take him on as a client. Maguire never got over Sam. Thanks to a meddling family member, he mistakenly hires Sam as his real estate agent. With her in his sights again, he’s not letting her go. But someone from her past followed her back to Holly with a sinister intent. Now Maguire will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he intends to claim as his forever. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator Sophie Eastlake did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Great Characters! Quick listen!

It’s Me Again Baby is the third book (novella) in the O’Connor family series by Katie Reus. This contemporary romance is a second chance at love story. It takes place in the town of Holly – where it is Christmas 365 days a year. Since leaving the marines Maguire O’Connor returned to Holly (his hometown) and started an auto shop and restoration business. He is doing so well he is looking to expand. Samantha Murphy has just moved back to Holly (after the unexpected death of her father). Macguire and Sam meet again in though the mechanisms of Macguire’s mother. She’s a real estate agent and he’s looking for property. Old hurts are aired and misunderstandings are discovered as the two attempt to resume their “relationship” where they left off. Sam’s past follows her to Holly and Macguire will do anything to keep her safe. This novella was a very quick listen for me. The plot was pretty well fleshed out and the characters were likeable and believable. The slight suspense twist to the story added some depth to it. Although this is the third book in the series, and you do see appearances by prior characters, I think it could be read as a stand-alone quite easily. Ms. Reus’ books are generally an automatic purchase for me. Her plots are well written, the characters are well developed and their interactions are believable.

I listened to this book in the car when travelling. Sophie Eastlake does an excellent job with the narration of this book. She has the nuances of the characters down and actually makes you feel like they are the ones talking to you, as you listen. There were no discernable pauses or miscues in the narration.

Sweet Romance Again!

Another short and sweet story from Holly, NC with all the pieces of a beautiful romance. With an author and narrator I enjoy, I knew I'd like this third book in the series. The characters are charming, the story warm and the connections keep me wanting more of the O'Connor family. Love these little morsels of deliciousness.

Another entertaining story in this series

We are back in Holly, NC with another engaging and entertaining audiobook in this series. This time it’s Maguire O’Connor’s story. A former SEAL and now a successful auto restoration/repair businessman, he hasn’t forgotten the woman that three years ago broke his heart right before he went off to his last deployment. That gal , is Samantha (Sam) . She is back and is the new realtor in town. They meet again when he’s in search of a new home and his mother recommended “Sam”. Macguire thinking all along it was a man .
It was sweet to see them together ,especially after they realize that misunderstanding and false information was the cause of their breakup. But just when things seem to be going well, someone from her past wants her dead.
This story was a little edgier than the previous two, but also very classic Katie Reus, which is a VERY good thing.
A story filled with suspense, forgiveness, second chances, the town of Holly , the O’Connor family and of course , romance.
A story worth your time. Though not necessary, if you can, pick up the previous stories. I promise you will enjoy them as well.
Kudos to the narrator of this audiobook . Her delivery of the various characters was excellent.
I was gifted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Perfect blend of sexy romance and danger!

A wonderful second chance-at-love story with a generous dose of dangerous suspense!

Three years ago hadn’t been the right time for them. Now certainly was.

It’s Me Again, Baby is a wonderful second chance-at-love story by the mega-talented Katie Reus! Katie is one of my favorite authors and this book is the perfect blend of steamy romance and dangerous suspense. While it’s the third installment in Katie’s O’Connor Family series and characters from the previous books do make appearances, It’s Me Again, Baby can be easily enjoyed as a standalone if that is your preference.

This is the story of Samantha and Maguire O’Connor. Their tale is told from their dual points-of-view. Samantha walked away from Maguire years ago due to a huge misunderstanding. Neither has forgotten the other. Now, years later, Samantha has moved back to Holly, North Carolina – where it’s Christmas all year long - to be close to her mother. As the story opens, Maguire is looking to buy a new home and is surprised to discover that the woman he’s not been able to forget is his realtor.

Both Samantha and Maguire are likable, genuine characters with hot chemistry from the get-go. They have a history – so, technically, it’s not insta-love. Katie writes awesome alpha heroes and Maguire fits the alpha hero persona to the tee. He certainly flaunts it in this tale as Samantha has a threatening, unstable stalker and Maguire’s protective instincts are hastened to the forefront forthwith. Maguire is used to making decisions, issuing orders and having them followed without question. But, Samantha is an adult and has been living independently for years. She understands where he is coming from but she is no pushover. I especially like how the couple amicably works through the issue in an adult manner.

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from It’s Me Again, Baby:

She was always the woman he didn’t want to lose…
---
“Maguire?”
His name on her lips brought up too many naked memories.
---
Taking her completely by surprise, he leaned down and strapped her in, his face only inches from hers as he took his time. He smelled fresh, crisp and oh so masculine. All she wanted to do was bury her face against his neck and breathe him in. Okay, she wanted to do more than that, but he smelled…

I listened to It’s Me Again, Baby. Sophie Eastlake does a great job bringing the story to life. Her voices of each gender are clear and sound realistic. She consistently differentiates between the characters and exudes the appropriate emotions. I love audios and, given a choice between reading the book and listening to Sophie perform it, I’ll choose Sophie’s narration every time.

I love this series featuring the HEA stories of the O’Connor siblings! If you enjoy well-plotted, exciting, heartwarming, sweet and sexy romances with a generous side of dangerous suspense, I’d highly encourage you to check out Katie Reus’ O’Connor Family series.

Enjoyable story

Would you try another book from Katie Reus and/or Sophie Eastlake?

Absolutely! Katie Reus is the queen of the second chances trope (which I didn't like until I started reading Katie Reus) and I love the way Sophie Eastlake narrates. She paces her voice just right for each character and each situation.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have liked for the story to be longer. The romance wasn't bad and like I said it was a second chance story but I would also have liked more courting and less possessiveness.

Which character – as performed by Sophie Eastlake – was your favorite?

The older ladies! She gave them heart and made them fun.

Did It's Me Again, Baby inspire you to do anything?

Communication is key! Don't let other people or a misunderstanding get in the way of what could be your happiness.

Any additional comments?

Let's not forget it's Holly and that here it's Christmas all year long. What's not to like about this town?
