I get such a charge out of Jamie Quinn! Barbara Venkataraman has a special kind of humor that makes Jamie a combination of wacky, smart, and moxie. I recommend this series. It mixes mystery, interesting characters and fun.
Also, the narrator of this audiobook did a good job.

I have been following Jamie Quinn since the very beginning, and I can say that Barbara Venkataraman has grown so much since her first Jamie Quinn mystery. Don’t get me wrong, those first books were good, but this last one is the best in the series so far, it is not only entertaining, but has a well-built plot, and the characters have acquired great depth.

The set in this one seems a peaceful one, an assisted living facility, where Jamie gets a job as an advisor for the residents. But Jamie just can’t sit still, and she will detect again a couple of shady affairs, and she won’t be able to stop herself from meddling.

We meet Jossie again, who acquires more importance in the story compared to previous books, along with Grace, Duke, and Nick. Apart from her professional side, we also see more of the humane side of Jamie, and the way things turn out in the end for her is kind of fulfilling knowing how hard she worked for things.

Fay Annette has also improved so much in this last book. Her character’s interpretations were already quite good in previous books, but she had issues with male voices. It is not the case in this audiobook. Duke’s portrayal was very well done and not showing any of the dragging we could hear in the previous book.

I am not sure if we are in front of the latest of Jamie’s adventures, but I hope we are not. I could also be open to a new series if Venkataraman has something else in store for us.

Loved it. Always wonder as I am driving along laughing if anyone nearby wonders about me. Who cares? Barbara Venkataraman brightens my day with chuckles along with an intriguing mystery. The narrator, Fay Annette, does a great job with the variety of voices. I am eager to listen to more.

This is the fifth book in the entertaining Jamie Quinn Cozy Mystery Series. I recommend to listen to this series in order. I loved to follow Jamies in her adventures! She is such a smart, and wonderful character! I like her relationship with Kip. Duke is an amazing character. The supporting characters are great. The storyline is intriguing, and captivating, filled with mystery, danger, and romance. Fay Annette did a fantastic job with the narration. She has a great range of voices, and the characters were easy to distinguish. Looking forward to listen to Malice in Miami. I love this Series!

Attorney Jamie Quinn is back with another exciting mystery. This one surrounds the residents at La Vida Boca, an assisted living facility in Boca Raton, Florida and missing artwork. One by one a small group of friends is killed. Jamie finds herself right in the middle of all of it. She calls her good P.I. friend Duke Broussard to lend a helping hand in this mystery.

Jamie has so many things going on in her life. She’s trying to establish a relationship with her long-lost father, she’s not quite sure about her boyfriend Kip and she has mixed emotions about her career. Her concerns are realistic and the author does a wonderful job of bringing Jamie’s emotions to life.

It’s a fast-pace story. I listened to the audiobook as I walked and it made for a delightful distraction. I really enjoy the author's smooth writing style. I, also, have to give a shout out to the narrator, Fay Annette. She is excellent. To me, she *is* Jamie Quinn. She has the perfect voice and tone for this role. The author gave us a surprising climax to the story with a big splashy ending that brought tears to my eyes.

I do enjoy my visits with Jamie and her cohorts. They always find themselves in the craziest situations. This is the 5th book in the Jamie Quinn series. Although the mystery aspect is contained in this story, there are some secondary storylines that carry through from book to book. The author does give you some background information sprinkled throughout the book, but I do believe it makes for a better reading experience to read the series in order.

I’m looking forward to the next entry into Jamie Quinn’s life.

Jamie is innocently working at a retirement home. From poker games to poisonous plants these old folks are almost too spry.
I love these books! The stories are wonderful and the characters are engaging. Jamie is one of those characters that you want to have lunch with.

Cozies are so entertaining, and I love this series. Jamie Quinn has to be one of the most fun characters I have met in a mystery series. This one still has Jamie pining away for Kip as he is off in Australia. While waiting, she take a job in an old folks home only to find herself investigating another murder! Let's start with I loved learning about art. I am not an avid fan and never knew the difference between a fake and a forgery! I love these little nuggets of information I get to learn while listening. With Duke by her side, Nick and the FBI involved, Jamie is able to bust a 40 year old forgery ring wide open and solve a murder case at the same time!! And alka seltzer....who would of thought! Barbara Venkataraman continues to keep a smile on my face, my brain working to try to figure out the answers and my heart warming with Kip and Jamie!

Fay Annette does a wonderful job with this narration, bringing the various characters to life. There are a lot, including an accent of two that she is able to masterfully voice. I love the comedic timing, the ability to switch between the many characters and the lilt of laughter she brings to the story.
