About this listen

Catherine Sanderson and her daughter, Phoebe, have always been as close as a mother and daughter could be, except for one secret between them: the identity of Phoebe's father.

Catherine, busy working with refugee and immigrant women through her small firm, Babylon Sisters, has taken on a powerful new client. She doesn't have much time for Phoebe's complicated questions of paternity - that is, until Phoebe's real father, B. J., a renowned investigative reporter, shows up in town to work on a story connected to Catherine.

Now she must finally reveal the truth she's been withholding from Phoebe for 18 years, bringing them all together in ways they never could have imagined.

Fabulously written buttoned up story. Wonderfully performed by the author herself. I loved all of the Atlanta references that were true and correct. Well done!

Fantastic story!

This is a Rey great short read. The story and characters are rich and well rounded. The side of sleaze mentioned here I know to be present in Atlanta still but also in many other large American cities. We need more stories like this to being light to these issues right on our doorstep.

Very Good

First, I'm a fan of the author. Also I enjoy the fact that she records her own books.
This is an ideal summer, winter, Fall and Spring read. May you have as much enjoyment from it as I did. I hope a filmmaker reads it and easily sees what I can...this would be a blockbuster at theaters and for the streaming services.

Perfect escape!

But worth it in the end. A few chapters too long very wordy but good.
