Jesus CEO review

This is a great book for pleasure or anyone in the world of business. The book is thought provoking and is a great reminder for me to think about why I am in the market that I am in. I listened on audible in 2 sittings and am about to listen again!n short chapters and could be read as a devotion with journaling or Bible study.

All You Need Is Love

Love Is All You Need.

One of my favorite things about Jesus CEO is the relaxed yet focused and powerful way LBJ dives into the various aspects of the Omega Leadership that Jesus represents. The humble way she drops knowledge on us all about the amazing impact of leaders who care about their team, employees, family, etc. is what I strive for in my everyday interaction with those around me. Jesus’ humility along with his focused determination to lead human beings into the loving promised land his Father created out of love for humanity represents the best and most loving way to live and lead, in my humble opinion. And that humble, loving, mission-focused Omega Leadership style is my favorite part about Jesus, Laurie Beth Jones and the awesome wisdom in “Jesus CEO.” So stoked I finally read it and I can tell I’ll be reflecting on it and referring back it for years to come.

Never more relevant!

It seems to have been around forever, definitely before my time as a serious reader of business books. So I skipped it figuring it was dated. Recently a friend asked if I’d read Jesus CEO. He hadn’t but the title intrigued him, I agreed to read it. I purchased the 25th anniversary edition. As adults learning is not as much hearing things that are totally new as connecting truths experienced in our lives in new ways. Jesus’ teaching drives my values, choices, my life. Jesus CEO helped add beauty and depth to my understanding of servant leadership. It may be an “old” book but only books that speak truth and help us better know ourselves and the world last. They become classics. Here’s to the next 25 years and the many lives Jesus CEO will impact and bless!

Man I wanted to like this book…just never did

It sounds really good until you get into the book itself. It’s a frustrating and unscriptural attempt of trying to turn Jesus, the Son of God into some business minded human, really?

But you may get some good ideas and thoughts about leadership if you can stomach reading through the whole thing.

Reading this for leadership tools for me was like hunting for a needle in a haystack, and it actually hurt to finish it but I did find the best section of the book is the last section.
