If you're here, you already know...

This collection was a ton of fun. The crossover with folks like Sigler and Clines were awesome, though I think the Clines story could have been a smidge longer; albeit getting a crossover from two of my favorite series was rewarding enough.

The Standout story is a bit Joe Ledger meets Shadow over Insmouth, one of the best Ledger shorts I've ever listened to. Truly an enthralling listen that channels Maberry and Lovecraft in a masterful way. I'm towards the end of the book and Joe is currently back in Pine Deep. I will admit, I do have a serious weakness for these kinds of crossovers; especially with Pine Deep and Joe Ledger (my two favorite works by Jonathan).

If you love the Ledger stories, I highly recommend this anthology. It's just a fun 12 hour ride of Ledger while we wait for the next installment.

Great listen

Always entertaining, always thought provoking. What an interesting dive into each character. Ray Porter’s performance never disappoints.

Didn’t think……

Didn’t think I would like this but another great read by other good authors. I like that some of stories focus on characters that mean something to Joe.

Love short stories.

I love the short stories. I didn’t like the Joe Ledger series when I first listened to patient zero, but when I finally listened again, the character started to grow on me and since has been a big fan of the Joe Ledger series. Ray Porter does an excellent job portraying deep voices of characters. I hated to hear that Aunt Sally character is gone, but she left a lasting impression on me. I would’ve love to hear more about Church who is undoubtedly the a real man of mystery. I want the author to start a series on Church alone and Nicodemus and how far their conflict goes back. I was thinking as far as Angel and Demon. Biblical..

Fun Ledger Anthology

As a long time Joe Ledger fan, I listen to everything titled Joe Ledger. The novels are excellent, and the anthology series are a fun diversion waiting for the next novel. It is very interesting how so many other authors are fans as well. This really speaks to the popularity of Jonathan Maberry’s great character.

The current anthology is full of many great and fun stories. I did find one featuring Top a bit political and should have been written in 1969 instead of 2024. That one aside, the rest are just great listening. The series even included a short story written by Ray Porter, the excellent narrator of the Ledger series. Who knew Porter could write.

At the end there is an interview with Maberry and Porter discussing everything Ledger. Informative and great fun. If you are hard core Ledger fan, give this one a listen. You want regret it.

A great appetizer between main line series releases

Though some authors added their own political Buzzwords at times to characters that have never used them before, these stories were a fun bonus to have and Ray Porter delivered a great performance, as always.
