About this listen

Who’d want a guy like me?
Sure, I can make my MC brothers laugh, but I’m not good for much else.
Muscle? Sure.
Smarts? Not so much.
At least Brennan knows I’m one hot mother.... Well.... You know.
No one ever wants me for more than a roll in the sheets.
No one except Brennan.
Will he still want me when he realizes how messed up I am?

Joker is more than just fun and games.
He’s full of wisecracks, seems to live to rile everyone up, but the club enforcer has hidden depths.
Depths that only I see.
When the MC has a job for me, it’s the perfect opportunity to get close to Joker.
I want to keep his smart mouth busy.
With my lips.... And other things.
But the closer we get, the more of his pain I see.
I want to find a way to help him heal.
Will he let me in when he’s spent his whole life hiding?

Joker always has a wisecrack ready, but Brennan can see the secrets and pain he’s hiding. These two collide in Joker, Book 8 of the Hell’s Ankhor stand-alone m/m romance motorcycle club series.

Love Joker

David Allen Vargo just took a good book and brought it to life and I loved it. Joker stole my heart even more while listening to it then reading it.

This series never disappoints

I have to admit this is one of my top three series ever so I am biased even going into this audio review. However the story and the performance were both stellar. Joker is the fun, one night stand type of guy in the club. Brennan is the construction foreman making all of the renovations to the clubhouse. Opposites certainly attract but Brennan doesn’t Realize that joker is keeping many secrets. The one thing that really threw me for a loop is when I read this book I never envisioned joker with a southern accent. But I have to admit it really worked.

Oh Joker...

I just want to scoop him up and hug him. I feel so bad and why did it take so long for someone to figure out his behavior was a defense mechanism?? OMG! Anyway, he and Brennan are just the greatest and I'm so glad they figured their stuff out. Awesome book and amazing series!

This was a wonderful read and listen. I loved the narrators voice! Nicely done for both narrators and authors! Great characters!

Loved Joker and Brennan!!

Joker is a member of Hell’s Ankhor MC. He hides behind his attitude of being a jokester, but underneath he’s full of anxiety and fear. Brennan has been hired to renovate the clubhouse and they’ll be in contact more. He flirts with Brennan, but Brennan doesn’t really like him or so he thinks. Brennan gets to know Joker and realizes there’s so much more to the jokester personality that Joker shows his brotherhood. This was sooo good! I felt this story was the best of all the Hell’s Ankhor stories yet! This one was the hardest for me to read, I teared up in a few places! Joker had been thru way too much in his young life! When Brennan starts seeing the real man that Joker is, he cannot help but fall in love with him. I felt that David Allen Vargo did a good job with the narration.

must own

every book in this series gets better and better. This series has grown to be one of my favorites. Not only does David do an awesome job with the narration of the book, but the little spin he puts on the charter's voices just makes the book so much more enjoyable. I loved the book when it came out but man I have to say I love the audio more.

What a ride!!

First off, this book had me in tears towards the end of the story. I was so invest in the characters that I felt physically felt the pain. Secondly, the narrator totally ROCKS! The voices he can do, whew!! The continuity of the series is intact and makes the audio that much better. I can't wait for the next audiobook to release!!

Joker is my new favorite

This one really broke my heart for Joker but Brennan came through in big ways and the club. I really love how we see the 2 chapters blending together and I really loved the whole development with this one. It was a little detour from the usual with the series and Joker really surprised me as a character. I expected there was more to him then we had seen previously but I didn't expect to come to love him so much. The narration is done well.

The narrator David Allen Vargo is simply AMAZING!

I'm shaking over here! The narrator pulled me into this story so fast and so deep, my head is STILL spinning! I have not read Hell's Ankhor Books 1 through 7, but I'm going back to rectify that oversight. I see that the first four books have different narrators. How can they possibly compare? I don't know but I'm going to give them a try 'on my own dime'! I agreed to 'read' this for review because I had a favorable experience with my very first Motorcycle Club book! I'm frankly stunned to encounter a second AWESOME read! This narrator had sold me seven audiobooks! OMG! The book features Joker and his run-in with Brennan! Two men very attracted to each other but polar opposite on practically EVERYTHING. Brennan suggests Joker help with a woodworking project--a sign for the club--they have an opportunity to work together and their coming together is explosive in the worse and also the best ways. Wow! A book eight that makes me want to go back and 'read' the series from book 1? INCREDIBLE!!!

Love this book!

Joker is book 8 in the Hell's Ankhor series. I love this beautifully written emotional story, have tissues handy you may need them. This story got me teary more than once. I love this series but this book might be my favorite. Joker has been through A Lot in his life and most of it alone with no one to listen to or really care for him. I don't think he's ever felt good enough. Brennan and his company are doing the renovations to the clubhouse and Joker has been asked to carve a sign. Brennan offers Joker the use of his workshop and the two of them start spending time together. I love Joker and Brennan together. I love watching them grow and learn together about trust, self acceptance, and the true love of family. There are so many good qualities about Joker, and I love how he is finally able to share himself with his club brothers and Brennan. Definitely recommend this book and series.
Narrator David Allen Vargo does a marvelous job. His voice is perfect for this book.
