Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author and multiple Bram Stoker Award winner David Niall Wilson, a historical fantasy of epic proportion.

There are monsters roaming the desert and menacing the roads. There are sorcerers, harlots, and gamblers rampant in the city. In a compound in a forest, at the base of a mountain, one man and his family have received a prophecy. There will be a reckoning. There will be a flood. They will survive, but only if they obey the prophecy. Only if they build an ark, where there is no water. Only if they gather all of the creatures of the world. Only if they are faithful. Everyone else? Well, they're going to die.

This is a book of prophecy and revelation, heroism and love. It is a very old story with a new twist. It is a very human story, drawing together the creatures of the heavens and the earth. This is not your mother's Noah, and it is not the Bible's Ark...and yet it is. Welcome to an alternate history where your only hope is not to miss the boat.

Good listen

This was an intriguing twist on Noah and the Ark. Magic and fantasy aside, the jurassic part was fun but not believable for earth’s history. I tend to prefer sci-fi/fantasy that aligns with reality and projects future/past possibilities. This was definitely not that but was still a good story. It was dark, but so was Noah’s time period. The performance was also pretty good and added to the experience.

Alternate History at its finest

the story of Noah and his Ark as cleverly told her makes the Sunday school version more boring than it already is!

this is the version they should be telling children to keep them awake and fear God! 😂

Joshua Saxon delivers in his own style, all the narration that listeners long for, an engaging vocalization, a reverance for the words he says and a voice that commands you to listen to each syllable and intonation!

worth listening to on a nice drive or just chilling at home, you will not be disappointed in either the story or the way in which it is delivered to your ears.

Mister Saxon, once again, proves he can read the works of anyone with ease and style. definitely a narrator worth seeking out and enjoying over and over again.

Not Just A Creature Feature

I went into JURASSIC ARK by David Niall Wilson and produced by Crossroad Press expecting a silly fun creature feature but JURASSIC ARK is so much more than that. JURASSIC ARK is a very in depth and entertaining story and is narrated by Joshua Saxon who gives an absolutely superb reading.

Not my cup of tea

I didn't expect (and maybe should have) the religious aspect to the story. The general tone seemed harsh and not entertaining. Not something I'd listen to again, but others might like it. For what it was, the story was well written and the narrator did a reasonable job.

Great twist on the norm

Love this author.he draws you in and really paints a picture…his settings are places I want to visit or see,his characters are alive and whispering or yelling or laughing or sweating. With me as we enjoy the adventures

A fantastic retelling of Noah’s Ark

This is an incredible recreation of the biblical story of the ark and it’s well worth reading or hearing and just an incredible piece of writing

More about Ark than it is about teeth

This is not a bad story, it’s just not what I was expecting or wanting. Look at that cover, big ol’ T-Rex looking to tear someone a new bible verse. Well this is more biblical than Jurassic. Not a whole lot to do with dinosaurs at all.

Not What I Expected - Better

I bought this thinking that would be another dinosaur book. But I got way more than I had expected.

This brings Noah and the Ark to life like I've never heard. Maybe this should be taught in Sunday School

I loved it. The reader did an awesome job as well.

What if dinosaurs were on Noah’s ark?

This is something I’ve wondered at myself; were the dinosaurs there? Although the author professes his unbelief in the truth of Noah and his ark and therefore a loving God who orchestrated the entire scenario after mankind had sunk so low in sin; the author chooses to refer to it as a myth. I feel certain both believers and nonbelievers will find this an exciting book. It is very imaginative and descriptive of how the ark was built and how the animals were cared for. I especially liked how Balthazar’s notebooks on the care of the creatures was utilized; and Og the Nephilim was able to help with the heavy labor!

I didn't want it to end

This was an imaginative telling of Noah's ark from the family's point of view. There was lots of action, magic, and fantasy elements and the story comes together really nicely.
