This is my story - a story of perseverance, endurance, and hope, and of what I learned along the way, from what cancer is to how to eat to maintain the body. A survival guide for women fighting their own battles, this book is also a battle cry and a story of hope and strength. Your life doesn’t have to be ruined by this diagnosis. You can choose not to let cancer define you. You can choose to fight, to find support, and to keep yourself informed so that the unknown that you will face will become a little bit less murky.

Ewan Cameron is a Vancouver-based health researcher that has uncovered the truth about Huntington's disease and how the pharmaceutical industry has kept this hidden from the public. A graduate of the northern Alberta institute of technology, he completed his journalism studies in the early 2000's before joining a local newspaper, where he became disillusioned by his editor's refusal to publish health-related and pollution-related news stories. The reason? They would upset their corporate clients on which the newspaper depended for advertising.

Often, decisions made this way are correct, but at crucial moments they can also be wrong: with catastrophic consequences. In this myth-shattering book, Jerome Groopman pinpoints the forces and thought processes behind the decisions doctors make.
