About this listen

Syrah Ardani tried independence—but the call of the Napa Valley hills and rolling vineyards of her family's winery have brought her home again. She is content with her ordered world until she learns that her father's feckless management has put Ardani Vineyards into receivership.

Corporate turnaround specialist Toni Blanchard's arrival is preceded by tales of her slash-and-burn techniques. Determined to meet this soulless corporate raider head on, Syrah proudly prepares to do battle for her home and family business.

Toni has reason to retreat from a high-pressure Manhattan lifestyle, not the least of which is a bitter breakup. She's been told that Syrah Ardani is attractive and single, but Toni never mixes business and pleasure.

Creditors clamor for a quick sale and payment. The beautiful—and hostile—Syrah wants Toni off her land and out of her life.

Their clashes smolder with distrust and resentment, but also threaten to light a completely different kind of fire. Most dangerous of all is the one thing Toni can't control—the way her heart reacts when Syrah looks at her . . . just like that.

“Just Like That, “ had many twists to keep my interest.

The many interesting characters are too numerous for this one narrator to distinguish. The author did a good job consistently clarifying one from another. Learning about grapes and wine making is great fun too. Heartfelt.

What a lovely story!

I’ve always loved this author’s books and her excellent style of storytelling. This story comfortably falls in that category.

The plot was excellent and the main characters were wonderful! The narrator was excellent!

WOW

It’s been a while since I read a winery book, and this one was excellent. I love the way KK writes and with an excellent narration this was a great pleasure

Incomplete Complicated Love Story

It was a complicated web of a story that left many storylines ‘unresolved’. I wish that the ending had been more developed for more characters. Perhaps this is leading to a follow up book. Quinn Riley did a fantastic job narrating as always. This book was extremely frustrating. The two MC reconnecting at Jane and Missy’s wedding was unrealistic when they came to it both hesitant yet before the end they were together… Really?
