About this listen

Embark on an odyssey through human life and cherish our collective journey with a life-changing collection of haikus.

Cherishing and celebrating the passage of human life, this illuminating collection of haikus explores our journey from conception to death. Imbued with profound themes of love, parenthood, relationships, and the rich web of emotions that we experience along the way, this book roams through childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and finally old age with a thoughtful narrative that offers reflections on each stage of our growth.

Following the classic Japanese haiku structure that has made it such a popular and beloved form of poetry, Just a Passing Moment in Time offers us a window into human life, an event that is a brief moment in eternity but a powerful and everlasting odyssey for everyone it touches. Author and poet Brett C. Persson invites you on a journey to discover the fullness of human experience, weaving imaginative wordplay that explores everything from the mundane to the extraordinary.

Through love and grief, joy and sadness, and the endless discovery and curiosity that drives us into the unknown, this collection will give you a newfound perspective and appreciation for the little things in life, along with those seemingly ordinary moments which hide a vast source of meaning and wonder just below the surface.

Nice Collection of Poetry

This was a nice collection of poetry that actually had a story to it. Most books of poetry I have seen were not connected into a story like this one was. I enjoyed it.

Great story

I recently had the pleasure of listening to an audiobook called Just a Passing Moment in Time, which chronicles the life journey of one man from his conception till his death. It being in the format of poems, more specifically Haiku, it makes it easy to listen to. I received a promotional copy from a friend, and I am so thankful I did. The story of this man’s life was interesting and engaging while still being believable. I am not sure if this was based on a real person or not, but it sure feels that it was.

Profound Story

I'm not sure if I'm the best person to review this book of poetry, but a friend recommended it, and figured I would try it. I really don’t know anything about poetry. I wasn’t even sure what a haiku was before listening to this.

The poems in this collection are really profound. They make you think about life and all its complexities. The author seems to have a lot of insight into the human condition, and they share it through their writing. They resonate with me on a deep level. It's as if the author is speaking directly to my soul.

This is definitely a book that I'll be returning to again and again. It's helped me see the world in a new light, and for that, I'm grateful.

Emotional and gripping

This is an emotional and gripping story about a man's journey through life. It is spiritual without being preachy. The events that happened in this man's life truly touched me.
