About this listen

This rape case is different from most: the victim is more than willing to testify and there's ample evidence to put the suspect behind bars. But one thing gnaws at Detective Larry Millsaps - young and beautiful Melissa Nelson knows too much about the evidence needed to convict her attacker. Millsaps's investigation unearths the suspect's brutal track record, but also some stunning revelations about Melissa's own past. Caught in a deadly conflict between the ironies of the law and the demands of his Christian convictions, the detective finds himself protecting Melissa - even as evidence mounts that could imprison not only an inhuman criminal, but also the woman Millsaps has come to love.©1996 Terri Blackstock (P)1996 Zondervan Publishing House Contemporary Contemporary Romance Ministry & Evangelism Romance Romantic Suspense Suspense Thriller & Suspense Fiction Mystery

LOOOOOOVED THIS BOOK

Short and sweet. Not remotely corny. Maybe a bit preachy at some points, but, I'm a Christian, so I didn't mind so much.

Not bad, but too short for an audible credit

I enjoyed this book of T Blackstock’s as I have enjoyed all of hers that I’ve read/heard. This one was too short to be a audible book worth s credit. We should get two books for 1 credit since it is so short. But I did enjoy the characters and the storyline as well. Thank you

Love Terri Blackstock books!!

Couldn’t put the book down. Always a great story and love the fact I can read these books & not have to deal with bad language nor immortal sexual descriptions/acts. I’m also thankful for the Christian thoughts always included in Terri’s books.

OK story / OK narration

The story wrapped up way too quickly. The characters were in love too quickly... Not realistic. One of the voices for the cop was redoculus.

Seems like a shortened version of a book

The first book was 10 hrs + narrated. This one is less than 3. The story seems fast and with less details than Terri normally writes. I almost wonder if this is a shortened version of the book than a full book.

Way to short

Not Terri Blackstock’s usual several chapter book. It just needed more substance. Was very disappointed in this book. Have always loved all the other books by her.

Not as good as Terri Blackstock normally

This book was so short you didn’t really get to know the characters. Not a good reflection of how Terri Blackstock normally writes.

Short story for price

Story was short for a 14.00 credit. It was good. I didn’t like the music that comes on during the reading of the book

Loved it!!!!

OH, my goodness! Incredible in all ways. The book, itself, was great. The narration was unbelievable. One of the best we have listened to. My husband and I travel a lot and occupy the many hours by listening to Christian fiction. At the beginning we looked at each other and chuckled at the men's voices. We loved the female and male narrators. They made the story come alive. Thanks for a wonderful listening experience. So much better that a female trying to sound like a man or male trying to sound like female. Great!!!!!
