About this listen

Three people dead and only a divorced single cop can solve the crime.

His main “person of interest” is an attractive, successful black woman who seems shaken up.

When she tries to escape, Kane risks everything to stop her.

A stormy night, a highway chase and a devastating twist that lead the cop and his suspect to be trapped together in a cabin for a long snowy night changes everything.

Kane was never the good guy, just a man in uniform.

He can’t resist Belinda. Why bother?

It’s going to be a long cold night and they will both need to keep warm.

I love this zodiac series. Jamila is a true talent because all of these books are engaging, humorous, and the spice is written so freaking well. The narrator Chris Merlin is sooooo good and has a total swoon worthy voice. He even does the female voice spot on and his comedic timing is superb. I can’t wait see what the next series will be.

Quick fun and spicy ❤️🔥

I’m really enjoying this entire zodiac series, Every instalment is a small bite of crazy. I like the writing style. Emotionally deep it’s not, but it is straightforward, funny, and crass, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the PC angst-fests this genre is full of. Also the heroines are definitely BLACK WOMEN. Yay. There are small mentions of blackness all the way through (and they won’t have you rolling your eyes or making a fight face). There’s also some breeding kink, though less in this one and more in others. The narrator is perfect.

This is Kane and Belinda’s story. Everything you need to know about the plot is in the blurb. My only issue was the dead zone (repetition) around 2/3s through. Um… ma’am… you could have filled it with some of that stuff from the epilogue 😂.

That epilogue did a lot of heavy lifting
