About this listen

Undoubtedly, you have heard the rumors and conspiracies. You've probably heard of the BIA's involvement and potentially recognize the name Mozaq. But, until now, there has been no investigation or publications regarding these events.

This audiobook is the firsthand account of those involved. Brannigan Novak's collected works clarify the situation's reality and finally answer the question: What really happened at Kaw Lake?

For fans of creature horror

Jurassic park, & cryptids. This one had some interesting twists and turns. I really enjoyed the first half of the story when there was an air of mystery, as that’s my personal thing. The second half if more action packed. So, if you enjoy lots of action, then I’d say you’d enjoy this story. The big negative is the narrator however. He speaks very slowly, so I had to increase the speed to 2x.

Jaws Has Met Its Match!

5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This book just gave me another reason not to swim in lakes.

There's a leviathan in Kaw Lake. It's like an alligator, but wait upon further investigation, it's more a whole lot more.

Chief Brannigan Novak is recovering from ACL surgery when he gets the call about a murder / accident at Kaw Lake. So begins this story that includes everything from replicans, hints of genetic terrorism, and oh yes, an aspect of psychological warfare.

Science fiction, thriller and suspense, and outstanding character development and characters written so real you'd swear this was a true story.

The audiobook version of this has an outstanding narrator highly recommend. I listened to the audiobook after I was gifted a code from the author, but I immediately purchased a physical copy because this book is one that I will reread.

If you like Jaws, you'll love Kaw Lake by Ethan Richards.

A fair novel before a plane or bed.

It was fun, easy to follow, had a smart writer, and it was interesting.

This story had an AMAZING prologue where we get a glimpse of a swimmer have close contact with the monster in Kaw Lake.

I found myself wanting more monster scenes like that but was disappointed. I had to change my perspective of this novel and then I started enjoying it more. This is less of a monster story and more of a work that explores the idea that we shouldn’t trust authority figures or the government. In that sense, it did a great job because the political/social commentary is very interesting. It also shows us how misinformed we are about history.

I think this is a fair novel. Something to pick up a copy or put on your kindle before a plane ride. Or maybe just to read before bed. This is where I place most newsstand authors like Danielle Steel or James Patterson. If you like them, this is for you!

I did not like the narrator’s performance though.

I feel like once Ethan Richards finds the right editor, we will see his books side-by-side in stores with Steele and Patterson.

Intriguing and intense

This was a wild ride! I enjoyed the investigation and mystery vibes of this book. The idea that seemingly prehistoric creatures could be roaming Oklahoma is intense. The descriptions of the attacks were gory and intense, but they fit very well in the scheme of the story. I do think there were some strange plot points and twists that needed some suspension of belief, but overall this was a solid adventure story!
I also really liked the narrators accents and the special effects used for the radio broadcasts. This was well done.

Active little horror story

This book had me hooked pretty instantly. It starts right in on some tense action and horrific happenings. The author paints such a clear picture throughout the book that characters and settings are easily imagined. I definitely recommend this book; maybe not at a beach or in the bathtub as being in water is sounding kind of risky after this story.
