Publisher's summary

Darcy Hogan’s perfect life is all over social media. She’s beautiful, she’s successful, and she and her childhood sweetheart are about to become parents for the first time. But behind all the followers and the superficial likes lurks a darker truth....

In reality, Darcy feels isolated and afraid. Her difficult pregnancy has her confined to the house, she’s being harassed online, and out-of-control debt threatens to ruin everything she’s worked so hard for.

When her husband is summoned away on business, Darcy’s cabin fever soon spirals into fear. Who is making mysterious phone calls and knocking on her door? Is it an old friend trying to reach out - or a stranger determined to push in?

As her due date creeps closer, Darcy feels ever more certain that someone is out to get her. She’s desperate to get away - but is she running from the right person?

A little weird. Even for me.

normally I can get behind some far out unbelievable stories but this one was a little much. performance was good though. Story was a bit confusing till the end. almost didn't finish but I figured I needed to commit to finding out what in the heck was going on.

I need more stars to rate higher!

This book kept me up into the latest hours of the night. It was an absolute wild ride as I immersed myself completely into its world. I can't even go into specifics because I don't want to give anything away but trust, you won't regret taking time out to enjoy this book.

ok, but annoying in ways

I would give it 5 stars for story and writing but there are just too many little annoyances. First, vegans do not eat eggs so it was an insult to my intelligence to have the main character, who is not only a vegan but the owner and founder of a vegan foods company, be served a big plate of scrambled eggs by her husband/business partner. She also eats croissants, which I would guess are very difficult to make without butter, but probably not impossible. she is also annoyingly helpless throughout and stupid toward the end when she is in danger-too stupid and helpless for someone who supposedly built a major company almost singlehandedly. There are other things about the main characters that just don’t “jive” for intelligent characters. The narrators seemed to be changing voices for characters so I found it difficult sometimes to know who was speaking. If you can overlook things like that the book does hold your interest and keep you guessing.

Gripping story, nightmares stuff

Dark and twisted the stuff of nightmares. I don't want to quit listening to it.

Don’t waste your time

Worst story ever... too many loose ends never resolved and main character was very unlikable.
